It was only one person and all signs point to it having been a photoshop job.
Because people suck.

1. Photoshop an image
2. Make others excited
3. Make others angry after they know it's fake
4. ...
5. Profit!
Same reason why ppl do fake Apple designs, boredom.

I guess this explains why all of the authorized retailers on eBay were promising a 4/30 ship date last week. Either that, or they just picked a day at the end!

Yes they are fake and those types of people like to stir people's emotions up and they think it is so funny. People like that really suck!!!
They deserve their iPad to be lost in the system and then lets see if that is funny to them?

All the people checking their credit cards for charges every 10 minutes and toggling to the Apple Order Status page yesterday--I wish I could see their faces when they read about the April 30th delivery date. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!
Somehow, I am sure they will keep checking.
Customer Service at Apple must be so relieved to have the phones stop ringing today. Banks, too!

FYI....I got a call from my CC company yesterday to verify the charge on my card that went through yesterday....10 frickin' days before I will get my product. Apple using my money for 10 days doesn't make me feel all that warm and fuzzy about the situation.

Remember, there's a huge difference between a pre-authorization and the charge actually posting. Some of us got three separate pre-auths (that fell back off) for the WiFi before the real charge 'posted' on the day of shipping. They don't really have your money.
My AMEX hasn't been charged and I don't expect to see any charges from Apple until early-mid next week.
