You are certainly entitled to your refund....which I think you would see before you see itunes store credit.

So let's say you demand store credit or you will request a refund. Given the current popularity of this device, Apple will gladly refund your money and turn around and sell "your" unit to one of the thousands of folks impatiently waiting for a 3g unit.

By the way, do you believe Apple will give itunes credit to our international friends whose launch was delayed a whole month? I think the international community was initially promised units by April 30th.

Hopefully you will receive your unit on the 30th and this won't be an issue.

I Spoke with Apple and I believe the iPad 3G will arrive on time! I was a little nervous because I had gotten much more feedback when I ordered the Wifi iPad and here I sit with my money and my hopes waiting on the 3G. Well, I called the 1-800-myapple folks and was told that "there was such chaos with the shipping and holding of the wifi version that they are shipping them for either 1 or 2 day delivery and the money will be deducted at the time of shipping", but she assured me that it would arrive on Friday, April 30th.

I think they will have alot of returns if they show up in the stores, before they show up at our doors....:D

My mom always said that with "wish" instead of "expect"... but I never knew what she meant. I was a pretty "healthy" kid...and I wished a lot too.

It's just an iPad people. You've ordered it. It will show up. Even if it showed up a week late it's: Just. A. Freakin. iPad.

Go for a walk. Spend time with friends and family. Read a book. See a movie.
I totally get the online excitement. I read the iPad forums daily too, and look forward to mine arriving. Stalking Apple or the courier isn't going to speed up the process though... so wouldn't it make more sense to just relax and enjoy life until the new toy arrives?

Great. And I mean no offense, but how does this differ AT ALL with what Apple has told us? They promised them on Friday, either way. They would have said something by now if they wouldn't arrive on time.

Now anyways, I'm not trying to attack you (and if they said overnight and 2day shipping that's great. I am taking it with a grain of salt but it is very probable). However, I ust don't get how people can be so overly worried 4 days before a product has been PROMISED to customers. I understand it isn't like the wifi release, which I would definitely attest to. However we cannot sit here and compare it to that, and if things are slightly different freak out and expect our ipads to be another week late.

Now Apple is working with the shipper and things will move accordingly. They have been planning for them WAY before this, so it isn't like Apple doesn't know what to expect it's limits to be, and it isn't like the shipper doesn't know exactly what is coming. And it's not reliable to work with the estimates on the fedex and ups sites, as even with the wifi launch they were a lot different than what was actually happening (and why many reps told people Monday delivery would occur, because they were using an estimator).

Please explain it to me then. I've been buying Apple products since 1986. I love the excitement of a new toy coming, but if someone says "it will be there on Friday" why on earth would I check up on it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday?

They said Friday. I'll touch base with them if it isn't there then, but why would I before then?

I love the threads about case reviews. I love the app threads. I love the threads about new ways to enjoy the iPad. I just don't get people freaking when the delivery date isn't even here yet.

OMG you have to be kidding.

Anyway, the refund is easy. When it does arrive on Monday (or later), all you have to do is not open it, ship it back to Apple, and you'll get your refund. I mean, naturally if it comes later than Friday, it won't be useful to you anymore, so you might as well send it back.

wow i thought i was anxious for the ipad but im not going to slip into a depression or rage if its not here on friday...some of you need to sit back and relax. talking about refunds and canceling if its not here by friday?? maybe its just me but i have been let down for way more important things than a piece of technology being "late"...get a hard hat, life is a lot harder than this.
 
All I can say is that gadgetitis is a disease and should not be taken lightly. I know that as a sufferer I have been ridiculed and forced to be the brunt of many a joke. Enough is enough. Don't you judge us when you smoke your cigarette and snort your line or whatever the heck you do. At least my demons are revolutionary and magical.

Well at least the camera kit for mine just went shipment pending.
Wasn't scheduled to ship till May 4th for delivery on the 7th.
At least I'll have all the accessories, now just waiting for the iPad to go to shipment pending...
