[Merged] iPad 3G Ship Rumors

Heart failure - I am having mine delivered to my office, and my secretary just called and said "You have a box that just showed up!"

I'm not expecting *anything*, except from Apple. How cool I thought as I walked down the hallway, I'm getting it early, and I get to post a picture because "pic's or it didn't happen". Well, heart racing, I showed up in the office to realize, I am waiting on another package.......... just not from Apple, and I'd forgotten about it. Having a bad memory can add excitement to your day.

It'll disappear in a few days.

A lot of us got authorizations right before the Wifi models shipped. It turned out just to be another preauth. I wouldn't get your hopes up based on that only. It's possible, but not likely that you'll get yours on Friday.
 
To those of us who pre-ordered late...

From what I've read, it seems that a lot of people have called Apple with various questions, so maybe someone can help me out. Mainly, I ordered an iPad on the 18th, changed it to a 3G on the 19th (turns out I was a day too late!), so now it "Ships: By May 7th"...does that mean it ships "on" or at the latest, "by" the 7th, i.e., I could receive it on the 7th? It's amazing how my overzealousness for a product is making me question the meaning of the word "by" :eek: ...and I apologize if someone has already asked this, it just seems everyone is talking about the 30th...
 
I got three pre-auths in the month leading up to the wifi shipping. None of it turned out to mean anything, because out of nowhere on April 3rd (delivery day) the final charge had suddenly posted to my account.
 
iPad 3G Has not Shipped yet for April 30th Delivery

Has anyone received any updates from Apple showing that your iPad 3G had been shipped. I pre ordered my iPad and my status is still the same. No tracking information. I'm a little concerned that I will not receive my iPad on April 30th. :apple:
 
They may ship it out on a next-day shipping service from different distribution centers, so it's possible you might not get any notice until Thursday.
 
I know there has got to be some irony buried in here somewhere. I just have to find it.
 
You may be amongst the 3G pre-orders that may not receive iPad until after April 30th.

Anything can happen to delay the shipment of iPad.

Anyone ever wonder why Apple refers to the iPad as "iPad"? It's like they're trying to market it is as man's "next best friend". :apple:
 
I ordered a WiFi 32 gig a few days ago and it came today but it has this stupid black strip across the top. Should I throw it in the garbage?
 
They could ship them on Thursday morning overnight to make the 30th deadline.

Some how, I don't think that we will be getting them this week, I am starting to think they will arrive early next week.

They promised an Apr 30th delivery via a press release. If they don't arrive then, I expect some sort of refund or iTunes store credit.

You'll get it Friday. On the 23rd they put it on their hot news page. I doubt they messed up that close to launch. Plus, the Apple Stores have signs everywhere advertising April 30th at 5pm. It will come. Just hang in there.

The only reason I am not freaking out is because my wife forced me to get her a wifi iPad. yes, she twisted my arm .. and man oh man did it hurt lol. I agreed, but only since I told her I am using the wifi one until my 3G one comes in :D

But ya anyway, I dunno ... just gut feeling is telling me its going to get delayed somehow. Seems like everything that was supposed to come out this month is delayed.
