Since 4/19?! That is weird. I'll just be glad when we all get our iPads and are happily using them. ;)

Just for my own info., we do get one power cord with our iPad that will allow us to charge from a wall socket, right?

Very nice shots! Good range of subjects too. I love photography as well! I used to do all film then I got away from it for years, then i just recently started with a new nikon. glad to be back. Keep up the great work!

My bank has heightened their security and I didn't want the real charge to be turned down b/c they would think it was fraudulent.

Now I have this $11.15 pending charge that I can't figure out.

Thank you! :D I finally got a dSLR this time last year (used d80). Everything before that was taken with prosumers and point and shoots.
 
Yes I am ridiculously excited. I can't stand it. So you know what... to all those other people that try and rain on our parade... just stuff it. We have our own thread here (and undoubtedly a few more) so they can just skip over it and not read it. I like this thread, and I'll continue to read the crap out of it until Friday at about 10:30am. lol

May today continue to go well....

I woke up to lights on my modem!!!! Of course, everything I needed to get done yesterday I can't do today because i won't be home...

Off to check the bank balance and shipping status! Lol!!

The cord is acually more than expected. I did not expect the additional power brick and USB cable. However, I agree that it would have been nice to have a longer USB cord. I may "borrow" one of my kids USB extension cords if I feel I need a lighter weight cable when using and charging at the same time.

To be honest, I got the power adapter because I wanted my iPad to be in a safe place when charging. My iPhones and iPod sit on a window sill when charging. I'll probably have the iPad on my desk to kitchen table when charging.

Also, I'm still surprised we are not seeing our iPad's move to Ready for Shipment yet. I know the announcement says on the 30th, but it just makes me worry.

Yes, i agreed to go to epcot.

What was I thinking????????? (it was before we knew Friday was the day)

crap. I've gotta change my delivery address I think.
 
I don't think they're Going to come. Time is running out and it's late afternoon in china and nothing. LIARS! who will lead the revolt, we shall storm the stores, break down the doors and demand our 3G's!

Ok, I'll go back to waiting........

Well, you should get it by 10:30 am anyway, so you can wait.... and arrive at noon with the rest of the tourists.

But we all know that the best part of Epcot is to drink around the world at night anyway.
 
I bet we see shipping info start late tonight or early tomorrow. The wifi shipped on the 1st to deliver on the 3rd.

If they don't ship today, they're probably shipping from the US, not China.

I wish.... i have to drop my van off in Sanford in the morning, then play tourist, go pick van up and get home....

So that i can leave at 6am Saturday for a meeting in Merritt Island.....

I need a designated driver and drinking buddy for the other part. Oh and a babysitter! LOL!!

ETA: I just was able to change my delivery address to my parents house - my Dad isn't going with us to Epcot, he can sign for my toy! LOL!!
 
Nothing... Not even a pre-authorization

I have nothing... checked my my AmEx - nothing charged. I ordered the iPad case with it and it was charged separately and apparently in TN as I type this

Still counting on the email sent on 4/19 that I'll get my iPad 3G "by the end of April"

I was thinking, maybe everything will be delivered by 5pm since it will be available in store at that time?

I've never posted here, but have been watching this and the "3G confirmed shipment" threads for the last couple weeks, so I decided to post.

I've ordered two iPad 3G's through two accounts. Both were ordered on the release date by 8:35am eastern. The first iPad resulted in a pre-auth charge on Thursday the 25th of March. The second resulted in a "we were unable to obtain funding authorization from your CC..." email from Apple as the second account I'd used didn't have funds at the time. I hadn't been expecting a charge until late April. I then called Apple in a panic and let them know that funds were available...please charge away. No auth charge.

Then last week people started reporting that they were seeing charges. I became more concerned as I'd still not seen a charge for my second iPad. I called and explained that, I was worried they were going to skip me because of my previous problems with the card and "Please fix!!!". The Apple employee then replied, "no yours is scheduled like all the others that were ordered on the first day. Don't worry. "

I said, "okay, but I'd feel better if I was being charged like everyone else. Could you just charge me now so I can feel more secure?".

"No, it's okay. You'll receive a charge a day before it ships from the warehouse and it'll be a final charge not a pre-auth".

So this got me sort'a interested to which I replied, "Oh, from the warehouse? So it's shipping from the United States?"

She paused, then replied, "Yes, all of these will be shipping from the US with next day delivery. You should see your charge a couple days ahead of delivery".

I saw a pre-auth last week, actually 24hr after that phone conversation. That dropped off this morning. I expect to see a final charge tomorrow. I expect to see an iPad on Friday.
 
My Pre-auth was gone when I checked this morning, so I called the bank to find out what that was about. They said it was normal and that the Pre-Auth was posted with an expiration date and I would probably be hit with a "hard charge" on the day the item ships which will take the money directly from my balance with no pending transaction or pre-auth.
