I'm just outside Ann Arbor and mine did the same thing today. FedEx has a hub in Newark. I suspect they're flying at least some to make the delivery timing tomorrow. No worries here, other than what the heck am I gonna obsess about after tomorrow?

mine too. I bet were all in the same shipping container. that's one valuable shipping container haha.
You guys are more lucky. I'm staying in Singapore and we were not even included in the world wide shipping list. So sad.

Yeah, this is the best solution if i have friends in US ....
but there were also some people who order from amazon and then get a third party to ship to Singapore

Mine left Newark at 9:01 also. Perhaps on the same truck? (Plane?) Mine also has to go south.
It seems like they have to be flying some of these, or I don't see how it's going to make it by tomorrow at 3 PM.
Mine left Rancho Cordova, CA this afternoon and just showed up in Oakland, CA. I think the next leg will be a flight to Portland, OR then trucked to Medford, OR the local Fedex depot.
Haha, that's the exact route I'm expecting mine to take. It was in Middletown then it went to Newark this afternoon, where it still is. But like my iMac some months ago, after Newark it went to Allentown/Lehigh Valley and then to Pittston.
I really thought I was the ONLY person in this area who was getting an iPad, but since yours is going to Pittston, I guess I am not.

Drama Queens of the Tech World
I received my shipping notification e-mail at 10:43AM PST this morning. Fed Ex picked up from Rancho Cordova, California near Sacramento. Delivery will be tomorrow by 3PM. I'm taking the day off from work (I have plenty of vacation time to spare and a month long sabbatical coming in June).
I have a sign printed for my front door: "Fed Ex. I Am Home. Please Knock Loud!!!" (my doorbell is hard to hear and I don't want to risk missing it).
I have to complement Apple. They truly are THE DRAMA QUEENS of the Tech World.
Silly me...when I first put my order in on March 12th for a 3G iPad, I kind of figured that after the initial big push of the Wi-Fi only model that they would just ship them when they became available. No fanfare, no fireworks, just ship when you've got 'em. But they really know how to build the drama and guys/gals like us fall for it hook, line, and sinker.
I particularly like the survivor mentality where they secretly stockpiled inventory throughout the U.S. Then they get us foaming at the mouth delaying shipment until the next to last day in April and just when the missiles are about to strike they deploy their forces.
They really understand how to build to a climax and generate almost religious furor. Congratulations Apple.

Odd? seems it arrived at Newark, departed and arrived again 25 minutes later? what? huh?
I wonder if they moved from one part of the facility to another? That, or maybe they got checked in twice or double-scanned somewhere?
