iPhone [Merged] iPhone Users with T-Mobile Service (USA)

I know have everything on my iPhone

I have every app on my iPhone now. I have a video recorder, picture messaging/text, contact search. This is great. I watched my first movie on it last night as well. This is just way too much fun. Everything is working great!!!! Please let me know if any of you need this guys number that hooked me up. He is amazing!!!!!!:apple::D

Happy to hear that after hooking up with the guy everything worked great, and it was fun. So um, where is the iPhone in all of this? He sorted you out getting an iPhone sorted?

Which picture text app did you use? I have swirly but can't get it to work.
 
I heard that the new iPhone may be going for $199. Does that mean I can purchase this at $199, but am still able to unlock it at home? :D

Not that kind of hookup!!! :pLOL!!!! I am in a very happy 4 year relationship. I can see now the way i wrote it that you would think I hooked up with the guy. :eek:LOL!!!! Anyhootle, he really knows what he is doing with the iPhone and taught me as well. If I ever have an issue I can always call him for advise.

So how is the volume on your phones?? Mine was horrible until I figured out how to make it louder as well as video's. Now all volumes for all funtions are great.
 
I was planning to get the new 3G phone but now I am thinking I will go first gen 16 gig and just use tmobile as I have a great plan I am grandfathered into ($40/month for 3k minutes). I'll just add the total internet and be done.

Will the 1st gen iPhone still cost the same or will the price go down since the new one came out? I'd like to get it unlocked and use it w/ T-mobile. I don't feel like switching to At&T and I hate their new in-store activation only policy.
 
Nothing works to get edge for unlocked t-mobile iPhone!

I've been trying for months to get edge for my T-mobile unlocked iPhone. Nothing that I have read on the internet has worked! I've done the wap.voicestream.com thing and leaving it blank and also putting guest in username and password. Also have tried the 2internet.com thing or whatever and still doesn't work. I use to have the sidekick 3 so I do still have the unlimited access plan for that. Can someone please help me!

Remove the Sidekick Plan and add T-Mobile total internet. Problem solved :)
 
How do I get EDGE for my T-mobile iPhone

I don't see the T-mobile total internet on Tmobile.com. Do I need to change what type of phone I have? Please help!
 
Hi everyone! BTW this thread is AWESOME! But my question is what device do you say you have on your mytmoblie when you change everything? Like I have a LX but I want to go to a unlocked iPhone & I understand all of the plan changes I have to make...

Oh and does myfaves still work? I forget if I read that in here.
 
What phone and what plan do I need to get from T-mobil to make my ipone work, as righ now I don't have any service with ATT. Do I need to use the sim card from the T-mobil phone, if so, which one work? please email me at MOTORCYCLEDEPOT@AOL.COM. Thank you

FOR THE LAST TIME ALL SIDEKICK USERS------
THE sidekick internet plan does not work on the iPhone
YOU MUST get the T-Mobile total internet package or the blackberry internet plan!
This will solve all your problems
I have the blackberry plan but the total internet one is faster and better
and no you do not need to change your phone but you can

Only need Web access? Get unlimited Web browsing on your laptop or Internet device wherever T-Mobile has coverage.

Easiest way is to just call T-Mo and tell them you have an iPhone. They're very happy to help. You can probably also just pick a basic smartphone -- do something that has EDGE and WiFi, like...something like the T-Mobile Dash should be fine. But don't pick a Blackberry or a Sidekick, because, as mentioned above, they have their own different plans. So use the Dash. Once you've selected a phone that has the appropriate features (EDGE, smartphone capabilities, and WiFi), it provides you with the total internet + hotspot service add-on.

But I honestly called and just had them do it on the phone.

alright.. i have a sidekick lx right now with the $19.99 sidekick service plan or w/e.. my question is.. when i change it to T-Mobile's Total Internet Package, will i still have the Unlimited texting as i did with my sidekick?

This is really important to me so any responses will be greatly appreciated.
 
Where to get an iPhone for Tmobile

Hey. I've been doing a bunch of research on iphone's for tmobile. I just have one problem. Where can you get one? I live in Vancouver, WA and I'm not willing to buy the first gen iphone from cingular and have to pay for service then cancel and pay cancellation fees making the 300 dollar phone cost 600 plus. Does anyone live in Washington and know where to purchase one that wont come with a contract or anything like that? NEW, not used, as in not craiglist.com? And as in LOCAL, not ebay.com?

I want the iphone SO bad and I just can' t seem to find one within a reasonable price range. They are all beyond 700 dollars on ebay and asking for way too much for used iphones on craigslist. Does Apple sell them without contracts? I'm even willing to pay someone who stole some shipment of iphones! That is how bad I want one
 
Only way to get an original iPhone is from eBay or Craig's List. They've been sold out or pulled from all Apple and AT&T stores.

You won't be able to get an iPhone 3G without signing a contract unless it's from eBay or Craig's List or someone willing to sell it to you (likely for upwards of $600).

well since no one cared to answer my question, i found out for myself. You can use your blackberry internet plan on an unlocked iphone, i didnt have to switch to the total access plan, just poped my sim card inside!

Yes, my friend had a BB, and when I unlocked his iPhone, the data started working.

But, $20/month for the BB plan gets you data and pushmail, whereas $20/month for T-Mobile's Total Internet plan for Smartphones gets you data and access to all of T-Mobile's Hotspots (with the phone or your laptop, which includes Starbucks, Hotels, etc.), which is a much better deal.

Right -- I vetted my iPhone on the BB plan, and when I was satisfied I wasn't going to switch back, I called them up and changed to the total internet plan....
 
Iphone Trouble

I just installed the lates 2.0 version the itunes on my iphone aand I can not get it to work now, I can not doa receovery because the t mobil sim card is on my iphone and I throw away my old att sim card. what can I do to recover my phone?
 
AFAIK, the unlocking tool for 2.0 is not finalized yet. You should follow the procedure described to downgrade the phone to firmware 1.1.4, using iTunes, and then jailbreak/unlock/activate it again using whichever tool you prefer (pwnage, etc).
