MMS Tutorial for iPhone 3.1 + AT&T

I don't know if this has been normal, but I followed that tutorial, didn't edit anything and I can send MMS, but I can't recieve any. Like, people are telling me they send them to me, but I don't get them. Has there been a fix found for this issue? I'm sorry if it was posted, but I didn't see anything.

Update: My friend with AT&T was able to send me a picture, and it worked fine, but my friend with Verizon sent me one and it never came through.

Update 2: Had a different friend with verizon send me one and it worked, but the first verizon friend his picture never came through.
 
Confirmed working by me and others:


Alright its looking like if you have the UNLIMITED text plan you can call AT&T, have them remove it, add it back, and mms SHOULD be working.

At least one person has got this working. Im tempted to try it myself.

CONFIRMED WORKING in orange county!!!! I talked to one rep to remove it, another to add it and everything is working nicely

If you feel like trying again say you want the unlimited TEXTING plan taken off, then call back, and ask to add the unlimited MESSAGING plan back on.

If that doesnt work it must be your area.

Oh, well, that is a technicality in terms of which plan. I'll attempt that.

And test when I'm done jailbreaking.

Edit: Nope, still not working. And there's no reason to assume this is based off location because there are users in Chicago who have MMS working and some, like me, that don't.
 
took some trial and error and many reboots but it works here in McKinney (25 miles North of Dallas)

sending and receiving on wifi and off wifi


3GS jailbroken on 3.0.1

I am also on Family Unlimited and I haven't made any changes to my plan

Damn then im not sure. Something must be going on with AT&T.

I did reset my network settings and start all over entering info. Good luck.
 
so what happens on sept 25th when mms is official? does the modified 5.1 get replace with the real thing?

there is an option in voice memo to send the voice memo via mms. also if you want to send a small mp3, you can add it to your voice memo "playlist" in itunes and I assume send it the same way you would a normal voice memo. I've tried the first, and not the second. When you receive an audio mms it plays in quick time, and I'm not sure how to save it, or if it syncs to iTunes.

This is one reason I was looking forward to mms, because I produce music, and like sending ringtones of my stuff to my friends' phones.

I've done that trick before. Nothing works. It's not enabled for my account yet. If I try sending an MMS to @mms.att.net it gets rejected.

Because, from what I've seen on other phones, it's not requiring the username and password.

Depending on the building you're in while in the Loop, the 3G is great. The only times I've had issue with the network in Chicago is when I'm in a building that, for whatever reason, blocks all cellular connectivity (EDGE and 3G).
 
If I'm getting an unknown error (-27) when I try to update the .ipcc in iTunes, does that mean I messed up the command line? Or something else?

I was just there last week and the 3G was terribly slow.. was really disapointed..
 
i have windows 7 and put in that code into command doesnt work. it tells me that C:\Programs is not an operable command. what can i do?
