There's little point complaining about this when WWDC is 3 weeks away and we will have a first beta of the new OS. FWIW I have a Mac Pro 5,1 and a rMBP 2012 and have not noticed any issues with Yosemite.
thats the problem we don't need a new core rotten os and wait for update to fix the bugs we want the last one optimized free of bugs.

No. They'll be putting most of their engineering effort into OS X 10.11 and iOS 9.

If you don't like it there's a feedback form on the website.
after snow in every release I read the same thing :D ok..patience is a virtue.

I have none of these issues...sounds TBH like you are letting your frustrations with IT generally get on top of you. If you use it for business then you need to carefully assess any IT change for revenue impact on your business.

What does external ntfs disk mess, safari ad lover even mean???
When we pro's loose money, because rotten apple want to punish us for our support in pre consumer era,we let our frustrations posses us.Maybe you will understand us in another life.

Is it me or does that sound just a bit condescending? I am a pro, I work with my computers, and I have none of the issues you mentioned before. I haven't had a KP in years, 10.10.2 fixed the "speed" issue. The only things I don't like in Yosemite are some of the cosmetic changes, but as far as functionality and stability go, for me, Yosemite is rock-solid. Maybe it's not for you, which is why it's important to avoid generalization and oversimplification when possible.

Pardon? That's makes no sense.

Fresh yosemite installation with my new purchased MacBook Pro sit on my desk to enjoy edit some weddings I shooted.Except whole system my bluetooth magic mouse start lag then stop working completely for god shake.I spent half a day with prram resets delete preferences restarts to make it work again. That make sense?i have my MacBook Pro one month with fresh Yosemite I installation and I encounter all these issues in my previous post.

That depends on what you mean by "pro" - I work in post-production and film music, so far the latest Pro Tools 12 release is giving people much more headaches than Yosemite by the way....For them it's more a matter of liking or disliking the new UI, and adapting to it. But the OS itself, works just fine. Compatibility with specific pieces of software can be a concern as well, but whether or not people choose to update their apps has little to do with the OS functionality. Most of the people I work with use Mac Pros (all generations) and if they have MBPs these are secondary computers.

OT: Starting with Pro Tools 8 already giving me a headache...

Disable Handoff on all your accounts and reboot to fix BT mouse lags.

Finder Window Defaults

This one is not critical but nevertheless an obvious display of shoddy coding. If you resize your Finder Window in a particular size and position when opening your HD, upon reboot/restart it defaults back in the middle of the screen. It also loses it's custom size and settings.

Have you done this:

With the finder window active and sized the way you want it, go to View>Show View Options>Use As Defaults button (at the bottom of the context menu).

That works for me.

I guess this is one instance where I envy those that are blind as a bat...

What about those who just don't care if the Mission Control animation is a little stuttery. Guess who you won't see posting about it...

I do hope the next version improves the smoothness a little, but honestly it's not a huge concern for me.

Yes many times over. Repair Permissions, Boot R and disk check, repair permissions, reinstall, clean reinstall, delete finder plist... same results. Turn off Mac or reboot, Finder Window reverts to default center and small. I no longer let it upset me that I can't set the finder window the way I WANT it to. So I just have to laugh it off. :p

Oh the reason why I went through all this is that Yosemite keeps appending (2) (3) on my shared drives. Also the fact that Yosemite sometimes cannot see any shared folders when browsing Network. Yes I have a new AX ac, created Network from scratch not importing from old network. Reboot everything, shut off everything, restart everything including cable modem...Yosemite is good, but has some glaring issues that needs to be fixed. Apple needs stop with the Emojis and focus on fixing Yosemite first. lol

I figured you had, but I thought I mention it just in case. My finder window (mostly) stays put when I go through the process I already mentioned.

I have the appending (2) ... (3) ... (25) issue too. I finally gave up on trying to fix that issue. I'm hoping Apple with do something about it soon.

Yosemite is very stable for me, but it has a few little buglets that drive me batty too. I agree that they need to get the code polished too.

Wow, you have no idea what I do with my computers, or how long I've been doing it.

Actually if you get yourself into a position where you can lose money professionally due to an equipment failure then thats pretty amateur...

If it is important, secure it (in the widest sense), if you don't secure it, it isn't important to you, or you are dumb.

If Apple really got to be one of the biggest companies on the planet through punishing customers then clearly we are in different realities...

I'm right here and don't have these problems, so it seems is Morpheo. Which "pro site" do we have to post on for our experiences to be valid for you?

Sorry but you seriously think everyone has issues with Yosemite?

that's the thing that frustrates me the most with these kinds of threads: "i'm having a problem, so EVERYONE must be having this problem". when, obviously, we all have different experiences.

it's tiresome, and a waste of resources. this is a community of devoted mac users...a great place to get help, advice, discuss things. but there's been so much whining, and a lot of 'i'm right, you're wrong' posts.

ugh.

Pro or not pro, the thing is that OS is particularly unstable. Why this stupid mail app is requesting me all the time one of my 2 google accounts ? why not with my hotmail one ? why the PDF preview is so stuttering when scrolling ? Even with ridiculous file of 1 Mo ! Why scrolling in some website safari is stuttering ?
Why my wifi seems connected but doesn't work at all and need to be switched off then on ? Why mission control or windows resizing/opening are so choppy ?

I bought my first macbook pro, it's the 13" retina 2015, with a supposed super fast 256 Go SSD, 8 Go RAM, I put a lot of money in this piece of crap and my 2007 HP Pro 8510p 3 Go RAM SSD 256 windows 7 was much fluid, reliable !!!

I thought apple will fix all my problem with an update, but 10.10.2 didn't, neither 10.10.3 and i heard that 10.10.4 is not better as well.

I wonder how a pro could work with this all day long.
I'm just disgusted, and i'm looking for solution on this forum, apple doesn't seem to care...

Based on your wow experience If you call equipment failure the UI sluginess and the bluetooth connection issues...well.I don't own a studio or something in channel I work we have 7 computers for editing and graphics .I do some extra freelance jobs how many macs should I have?i have an extra pc but I didn't buy a retina Mac,FCPX suite learn it after years edit with media composer and old FCP, to work with pc?jesus. With previous mac I never never never had bluetooth connection issues ridiculous how should I edit with trackpad?
We pay premium prices for apple computers because software and hardware work together, this bond break In every os release since snow.
Now I respect and find helpful every members here experience and opinion that's why I post in these forums you said working fine for you I never test it in my previous 2010 imac. Then it's not optimized for newer mac hardware but we are in 10.10.3 unacceptable don't you think?

Based on your wow experience...unacceptable don't you think?

I've no idea what you are trying to say.

So you are involved in a graphics studio? Then you should have a proper, grown-up upgrade policy on your machines and a proper, grown-up regression/restore process if you encounter problems. If you are dissatisfied with Yosemite you should be running a different OS. What did you do - upgrade all your "professional" machines because of Continuity? Handoff? I wouldn't have thought they would be required in a graphics studio. Did you buy new, Yosemite-only machines? Without testing/trial or using Apple's return policy?

But agin, do you seriously think ALL users have problems as your post intimates?

"Maybe you will understand us in another life."

That was so condescending it is untrue. Again, you have no idea what I do for a living or how many decades I have been involved in IT.

Dude I believe you involvement in the it business please don't write it again.I just try to tell you I can tell the difference of a hardware failure and software issue ok? .I am cameraman and video editor. As I told you in a channel I work we have 7 computers 3mac pro's with snow and 4 pcs with 7 and we cut on avid because the station need to be productive and stable.I am also a freelancer and do my own jobs.I decide to go on and purchased a retina mac to enjoy edit my jobs and for daily tasks and new features what should I have done keep my 2010 iMac?which by the way never had issues of this kind.
