Does anyone else have problems with local media files stopping playing at a certain timestamp and switching to the next? I'm still on Catalina, and would like to know if this is fixed.

Well, the "show artwork" bug is still there, so I'm not sure there's any progress being made.
I have reported / requested return of Grid Size option on two recent occasions - don’t see why it isn’t possible...they have similar feature in the current Photos app, so it can’t be a major thing to add!
Since the latest betas of IOS14 and Big Sur (Beta11) I am not getting synchronisation of music play counts between my iPhone SE and my Mac. Anyone else with this problem and/or a fix?
Apparently this is an issue for more than a decade. If someone encounters this, deleting the tracks from the archive and re-adding them fixes it.

Widgets are mostly useless in this macOS version.
The Stock widget was able to display dozens of listings and relative performances. Slide with 2 fingers from the side, and you see how the market is going. Now just 6 stocks. If you want more, you have to open the Stocks app.
The same applies for the Weather widget. Earlier, dozens of locations were available and you could click to enhance the details; now just one location per widget.

Is anyone else having an issue streaming everything from Apple Music? Doesn’t matter if it’s my library (which now doesn’t even show Apple Music tracks despite them being set to viewable) or trying to stream something from an Apple Music search. It just won’t play anything.

I am still seeing this fault too. I do not want to see album artwork here at all, but it keeps returning when I restart, just as you describe.
always good to submit a feedback request - My submission still shows "Recent Similar Reports: NONE" which is odd since several people here have posted that they made the same feedback report.

My experience with Music so far:
1. I hate that pressing Cmd+L in Songs view doesn't scroll the list to show the song but instead opens a whole new view that covers up the songs list. 😡 [FB7456944]
2. Checkboxes in Songs view are not working. UI shows song is checked even when it's actually unchecked. 😒 [FB8745389, FB8758682]
3. Artwork handling is just terrible. They just don't show up for a lot of songs — sometimes it happens in the Songs view, sometimes in the Album view that pops up when Cmd+L, sometimes in the mini player up top. All my artworks are like 1800px max (usually 1400px) and they're definitely embedded in the files — what is happening?! 😩 [FB8762600]
4. Stars don't show up at all under Artist in Songs view when app is open in Dark mode lol. And if they show they aren't in Retina. [FB8762599]

I had that problem. Random songs would end at random times. It also happened on my iPad. I finally figured out that it was songs that were encoded with LAME. After identifying those songs, I converted them using a program I downloaded and now they play all the way through.
Having issues with adding tracks to my music 'cloud' library: Music version 1.1.0.186 (macOS 11, PB 9 - build 20A5384c).
iTunes Match subscriber - I am unable to add new tracks to the cloud and the track is constantly in a 'waiting' state. After closing music, I am unable to reopen the application and Music just hangs. Activity monitor reports Music (not responding) and a force quit is required. A reboot allows me to reopen Music app once (tracks still do not upload to the cloud) and the whole restart app / hang process reoccurs.
Reported to Apple but interested to know if anyone else sees this issue? Thanks
