All I can say is; WOW. You have some of the worst luck imaginable! If this run of luck persists, you should consider getting a refurb for your next purchase... You can be assured that one will work

OMG. you stop right there. why do you have to show us your 4 times change experience? it's your problem that you have to solve. what do you expect here? do you think that we will solve yours? NO. I love my macbook. it has no problem so far. I assume why you complain about even some of parts you explained is not real problem at all. don't buy apple if you don't like it, OK?
<--- *See Definition: "Apple fanboy"*

I love the MacRumors members that write/troll/crap on these threads with the comeback "I LOVE MY MACBOOK. NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE EITHER LIARS OR DELL LOVERS!" It's like anyone that has real, genuine issues/problems will be drowned out by the fanboys who swear that Apple can do no wrong, and if a machine is somehow defective, the OP shouldn't have bought it in the first place, or that "Apple isn't for them."
[sarcasm] I have no idea where PC users comments about the absurdity/flawed logic of these Apple "fanboys" comes from and all their talk about some fanboys looking at Apple with cult-like reverence...[/sarcasm]

im not saying apple cant make a mistake, i just dont see any dell enthusiest running to dell forms and report their badluck/over sensitivity issues.

...

wait a minuet there are two things wrong with this. 1)dell enthusiest? didn't know that was possible. 2)never heard of a dell form...

anyway you guys should try flaming your own post. we really enjoy it...

Sensitivity issues? People having major problems with a $1500 piece of a equipment numerous times is a "sensitivity issue?"

P.S. What language was your post in? B/c either it was in English with terrible grammar and spelling, or something I've never seen...

No prob pinky. I'm always here to provide a social commentary on the often deranged psyche of Apple fanboys; it's one of my callings I believe...

lol , also about the over sensitivity issues. i dont mean it in a bad, well maybe i do  , but some people are just more sensitive to certian things. a few stuck pixels not a problem, but after what the op has been through with apple i'd want that damn thing to be kissed by steve himself.

ps...i know alot about macs, i have over 20,000.00 invested in mac software, like hell im giving up on them

You have just learnt a $20,000 lesson why you shouldn't pay for software when possible, I'm not saying anything in particular, just saying...

My old iBook G3 had multiple problems and Apple finally replaced it (after about 2 years of problem after problem and ONLY after I sent in a 3 page complaint detailing my computer problems -- I tried calling and complaining but it didn't work). My new iBook G4 hasn't had any problems accept for the fact that the screen was pressed too hard and you can see a dark finger sized mark on it.

Oh and I forgot -- my battery was recalled too because of the fire hazard (thanks to Sony -- so much for their quality as a company. ) I better go to an Apple Store and get it replaced.

All in all I hope Apple's and Sony's quality goes back up.

I kind of do too, sry  . But seriously why are ppl defending Apple when its so frikkin´obvious theyre having problems with QC??

Oh and to the OP: I hope they fix it for you!

But what the hell does the OP want us to do? It becomes a troll issue when the conversation goes like this:

Poster 1: My MBP has so many issues!
Poster 2: So take it back.
Poster 1: But what is wrong with Apple?
Poster 3: We don't know, my computer is fine.
Poster 1: But mine has SO many problems.
Poster 2: So take it back.
Poster 1: But everyone has to agree with me that Macs are crap because mine are *faulty*
Poster 3: Troll...

I mean seriously what do you people want from us? Do you actually think we're all just gonna sell our Macs and talk trash about Apple because he can't seem to get one that meets his standards? This person seems more angry about the fact that we all don't agree with him than he is about having a stuck pixel.

You know, after reading this thread again, maybe Macs are as crappy as he says. I think I'll throw all 75+ of mine into a dumpster. Yeah... that sounds like a great idea. What's that Dell phone number? I need to order one right away.

I have been asking the same question benthewraith....1 dead pixel? Can you even see that?

Yes, on my first 12" Powerbook (1024x768 resolution) the one dead pixel was easy to spot. They're probably harder to see on laptops with higher resolutions.

Yeah, seriously, how do you dare to complain? Just shut up, Apple is wonderful, nobody should be allowed to report any problems...

i Can now report

that i have found THREE bad pixels with this LCD on this fourth macbook

im not here to wine, or to gripe, or to just cause a ruckus.

what i'm here to do, is to find out the best course of action for me, as in, what to tell apple, who to tell it to, and where

these are the things i know.

managers in the stores dont have much power, cant do that much. So, who do i call?

There are certain standards a company should uphold, obviously, we all know apple is a great company..but the ways to make sure of that i dont know, aka, what numbers to call, etc.
I don't see why a store manager wouldn't have the power to open up your next MacBook and have a Genius go check it first to make sure that everything's OK -- *before you get it home*.

The only thing that the managers don't have much power over is giving you free stuff for your troubles.

Umm in that post I clearly laid out the situation of this thread and why its ridiculous. I said nothing about not complaining itself, but rather complaining over and over again in the same thread, repeating yourself constantly and then refusing to accept that many many people do not have problems is the problem, especially when the *problems* are a stuck pixel.

Stop trying to spin this into a fanboy thing to make yourself sound intelligent. That old come back is starting to get quite old.

Quite frankly I don't even believe this person. How can so many people have no problems, and this person has five MacBooks that are worthy to be returned. I think its BS entirely.

And don't fool yourself into believing that a majority of MacBooks are faulty based on what you read in forums. Of course a lot of what people post is going to be negative - thats why they post. Nobody posts about how reliable and predictable their working MacBooks are.

Amazingly, this should have been what the OP thought after say the second time of getting a bad display. This isn't surprising information, but more of a "duh" option.

The only thing that will prove that to me is a picture of five faulty MacBook Pros. Also, if you thought of that, why didn't you just do it?

And why do you keep buying the same computer anyway? Most people stop buying *faulty* products after the first try... certainly the second. But five? Why are you so desperate to have a MacBook that clearly isn't meeting your requirements.

they are macbooks, not pros, and why would i have them...they keep swapping them out....

somebody with information to HELP me, (not be a skeptic) please post on this thread from now on

But what do you want us to do? I don't understand what help you could possibly want.

I posted Wikipedia articles on Dead and Stuck pixels. People also recommended that you take it back, people recommended that you stop buying Macs, people recommended that you be less anal about stuck pixels. That's pretty much all anybody here can do.

You haven't laid out specifically what help you are looking for.

BTW I'll post wherever I feel.
