No original version is needed, albeit it can be installed, it'll be automatically overwritten.

Currently, I've only muted American English. If anyone needs muting other languages, let me know and I consider muting it (it takes a bit of work; hence the US English muting only for now).

Please let me know ASAP if it doens't work on the 5s. On my US EN iPhone 5, it works great - and muted, of course.

Are you absolutely sure? On my iPhone 5, it does record. Also, allow some kind of refresh time for it. Or, isn't even the +1 badge displayed in the corner of the icon?

Okay I installed this over 4-4. At first I tried it right after I installed it then remembered to do a respring. I also did a restart for good measure.

This breaks the call recorder on the IPHONE5S.

Before I remembered to respring i got an error message, i will attach it. i am going to delete everything and try again.

By it breaks i mean nothing records at all.

I look into the problem. In the meantime, I've removed my muted version until I find a solution to this problem. Stay tuned!

If you can mute it in swedish you would be the hero of the year :) yeah ok of 2013 and 2014... It would be the best thing in a very long time since i lost the 6.1 jailbreak.. Happy new year !!!!

issue when getting a waiting call and answering, when hanging up 1 call the phone just hang and screen get stuck.
also, the mute button doesn't work...it shows like the mic is muted but it's not
Any ideas?

Your model? I've made about 15...20 test calls with 4-4 but have never encountered this problem. On the iPhone 5, of course (I don't have an iPhone 5s).

It works OK on the iPhone 5 with my new, muted, universal-language DEB file (just tested) - the other party can't hear anything while it's on. However, muting has been a problem in earlier versions with 32-bit devices too.

I'm with iphone 5 on 7.0.4
 
It works! Thanks. The message cannot be played back over speaker on my phone though. Only up to ear. If I press speaker it mutes it?

Dunno - it, as I've explained above, works flawlessly on my iPhone 5... try a factory reset without restoring any backups. Prolly your phone is too dirty, and hence the problems?

Elias will surely fix this - seems to be an 5s-only problem. It works as expected on my iPhone 5: recordings are played over the peakerphone by default, and when you tap "Speaker", it'll switch to the earphone (but won't become mute).
