I liked it. I wanted it. I had the money. Not justifying anything.
As a worldwide status symbol, the iPhone X is for the special people. The rest will never understand. They think we're crazy for spending $500 on a pair of shoes.

I am not special. It’s not a status symbol for me as very few people will even know I have it. Also I would never spend $500 on a pair of shoes. As a worldwide status symbol, the iPhone X is for the special people. The rest will never understand. I couldn’t agree more. It’s irrelevant to others at the end of the day, however we do discuss our choices on the internet because that’s sort of the point on consumer based forums.Unless you are spending someone else's money, you don't have to justify an expensive phone purchase. Contrary to what many members on this site seem to think, you don't need to get on the internet and convince strangers you made the right decision for your life.

Reminds me of a quote. Millionaires wear the finest attire. Billionaires wear whatever they want.

The question is why hasn’t the X been appealing enough to get a larger volume of people to upgrade or established an even larger lead over the 8.
But the iPhone X is not for special people. The iPhone X is a mass produced tech product into the millions that is available to anyone and everyone who literally wants one.
It's for special people
Then why doesn't everyone have one? Why are there soooo many people trying to justify their inability to afford an X? Why so many threads talking about how "Apple has abandoned their core buyer"? Why is the number one complaint about the product "it's too expensive"?
Answer: Because it's expensive. And if Apple has sold 30 million of them by now in a world where it is estimated that 6 billion people have mobile phones, that's less than half of one percent of all the handset owners on the planet, it's quite exclusive. It's for special people. It's a luxury item from the worlds top luxury technology brand. This shouldn't surprise anyone.
Who can even tell if someone has an 8
It looks the same as the 7, 6 and 6S.
Seen a few X about the UK mostly by older people in late 30s/40s.
My X is lagging mess

Well I guess I’m not classified as old yet. Still got a few years left before I’m ready for the scrap heap then.roflmao— “older people”... “in their 30s/40s”
