Lol me too. Need that stuff. When does Snow Leopard come? Do we know that?

I can see it now "The All-New iMac Commercial Ad" haha I wish but I do not think it will happen. There will be Apple Commercials but not one on a new product. That would be sweet if they did that but not going to happen. I hope there will be one on a typical Tuesday.
Unless it a secret which I doubt. I looked at all the superbowl ads and apple has 2.Sadly, I agree. I doubt that there will be anything new todayAt least I can still hope

Given that the Macbook line is now completely in-line with that of the Macpro and iMac (all aluminium build) then the style won't be revised ... therefore its not technically "all-new" just an internal tech-refresh ... they've done it before ...its not like its going to be a big new design style (like unibody was) so i can see them just popping up a nice new ad in a high-profile scene (to get some visibility)
Maybe we're all deluding ourselves and getting hopes up but i was disappointed with Macworld so i'll take it this time .... i have fingers crossed
I'm pretty sure the updated iMacs will look the same as the current models as the unibody mb/mbp has finally achieved to match the iMacs current design with the glass and black bezel look. Only the mac pro (desktops) and mac minis will need to update their casings to match the rest of the line of products.
I'm very sure that the imacs will get updated to i7, as there is no new notebook cpu variant that the iMac can adopt or speed bumps.
I7 is very much doable, possibly their highest end model being a 30" to fit the i7 in with room for cooling, especially when the screens go led backlighting which will create more room and cause much less heat.
No i7s. Intel just released C2Q processors which are made for all-in-one desktops. And no 30", yet, becouse of economy issues and it's price. No one would pay over 3000$ for iMac becouse for same money you can get Mac Pro.
What time is this Superbowl on?Unless it a secret which I doubt. I looked at all the superbowl ads and apple has 2.
Why would the 30" iMac cost $3000? If anything it will cost the same as the current high end or just a couple hundred more.
Led backlighting is starting to replace ccfl variants while actually costing cheaper with the newer technology. Led backlighting is much cheaper to produce nowadays with superior backlighting and just look at the new 24" led cinema display, it's the same price as the 23" acd while being much superior with the h-ips panel + led backlighting.
Not to mention i7 is pretty cheap on their own.
Initial Lynnfields are 95 W, they'll likely do a 65 W version later. It may be that the 65 W Penryns are speed bumped and Apple will use those in the iMac in late 2009, then the update after that could bring 65 W Lynnfields. You'd be looking at a energy efficient i5 core, which is more likely to be the update after the coming one.
There's not much reason besides heat and differentiation to use 65 W quads in the whole lineup, since they cost about as much as mobile dual-cores.Second, it isn't even sure if there will be quad cores (neither the whole 2x dualcore shebang, B-S). Its probably gonna be a CTO option on the top of the line model,
55 W 3.33 GHz I'd say is quite possible.and even then you migth still be looking at a high end DUAL core (3,4 GHz or something).
Interesting...Unless it a secret which I doubt. I looked at all the superbowl ads and apple has 2.
No Core i7, due to too much heat.I'm very sure that the imacs will get updated to i7, as there is no new notebook cpu variant that the iMac can adopt or speed bumps.

The reason for Nehalem mobile CPUs having strangely high TDPs. Apparently the northbridge is ~10 W.Just a reminder, you guys need to take into account that all the future entry/mid-level Nehalem CPUS (i.e. other than the high-end Bloomfield and the Xeons) have nearly all of the traditional northbridge integrated into the CPU, so the TDP value is going to be higher than normal. It will be important to evaluate heat/power on a CPU+chipset platform level --- not solely the CPU.
Is there any confirmation that apple WILL have commercials during the superbowl? Provide a link if possible.

Okay, maybe not 3000$ but at least 2500$. 24" LED costs 849 and 30$ ACD costs 1 849. If 30" comes it must be the real high end iMac with best hardware ever. So yeah it costs way too much.
The 30" ACD uses LCD, not LED
