Only just found this thread so not read it all but just want to say, that for me, the Apple Leather case (black) on my matte black 7 Plus is the best case I've found so far. Yes, I'd prefer it to protect the bottom the the phone a bit more but all in all it's a great case.

Those sena cases look very nice.

Just picked up black Apple leather case for JB7. Had it on a few days and....it's creaking? Quite badly on the sides where the spines run (down the sides of the phone). At first it thought it was the iPhone, but it's quite noticeable and kind of spoils the experience of the case. Anyone else notice this? Will it soften up do you think?

I got my storm gray but I'm returning it. It has these thick folds / creases by the silent switch. I realize leather has natural things going on but this alters the feel as it's raised up.

I just went out and bought the apple black leather case for my iPhone 7 Plus at the apple store, One question i have is this, looking at the iPhone from the front with the leather case installed on it, the sides of the leather case seem to bow outwards as it reaches the lower corners, is that normal? everything else with the case is fine

Mine runs parallel to the glass protector on both sides. I have had that issue on prior cases though. Get it exchanged if it bothers you.

I just exchanged it at the Apple Store, it was definitely bothering me, the quality really varies on these cases because we literally opened 3 at the store till I got one black leather case that is decent, the first two we opened has mis aligned aluminum buttons but at least I walked out of the store with a decent one that goes parallel on the sides

Originally got the tan but didn't like the contrast with the black bezel. Then I got the stone and I just didn't like it when I got it home. Now have the navy and loving it. I have the white silicone too but have not taken it out of the package.

Nice. Glad you find a good one.

Put some good leather conditioner on it and it'll soften up. I use the same stuff as I do for my car seats.

Anyone have photos of the wear for the Tan after several weeks/months?

I have saddle brown for my 6 and it has darkened beautifully. Trying to decide if I'm going to repurchase for my 7+ MB or go with Tan, but would love to see how that darkens over time first!

I find i like the look of these cases but what worries me is the open bottom.. why cant apple release with it closed up?

It's been a couple days since getting my black leather case and so far it seems to offer slightly more grip than before but it's still not 100% confident inspiring.

The grip is relatively fine if my hands are warm and slightly moist but when my hands are cold and dry, the grip is practically nonexistent. Is there anything that can be done to improve the grip especially on the rounded sides?

I was debating getting a silicone case as well for the times when I'm doing stuff in potentially wet environments and outdoors or would the leather still be fine?

I think this will fix itself over time. Mine does that too right now but in the past it's fixed itself after a few weeks. (Have had mine since Tuesday).

I doubt that, hows that even possible? the frame on the left side is CUT too short, its not something that can be fixed over time, the way the machine cuts the case's shape is not even on both sides because the sides of the case did not run parallel to the iPhone's sides, it was wider on the right side than the left and it can be clearly seen while looking at the iPhone with the case on,

anyways as i mentioned above i exchanged it and managed to get a decent one, the quality on these cases really varies so make sure you get a good one

That looks good.

I traded my Midnight Blue for Storm Gray this weekend. I'll be watching how that shows wear.

hArrisburger, I really like the look of your saddle brown leather case. I have been thinking about buying it for my MB iPhone 7+ and your pictures sealed the deal. I currently have the black leather case and the white silicone for my phone.

The open bottom is so you can dock it without removing the case.

Yes, and it makes it easier to put the case on and take it off. And the lost protection is minimal since the case both covers the bottom corners and extends slightly below the phone in the back. I also think it looks nice that way, but that's just me.

current midnight blue case is still creaking after over a week of wear. Just received 2 more midnight blue from an online order. One of which has an unresponsive volume down button, and the other with some creases in the leather. Prob going to keep the one with creases as the fit on that one is great. Creases I don't mind. Just seems like a lot of issues with so many cases

I'm kind of torn because I do like how it's starting to look. But I don't love how it looks on a black phone.
And I kind of want a Sea Blue case.

Thanks for the photo! I think I'll go with Tan this time for my MB+. The way it's wearing in is really nice. I think the initial color is definitely a stark contrast on a black phone, but the wear is definitely cooler to me than the saddle brown.

Well thanks to this thread I just ordered a Brown Nomad from Best Buy, I'll let you all know my impressions when I get it.

The Horween leather kind of pushed me over the edge vs the Apple case. I like supporting a US company, and from my Motorola devices that used their leather I was impressed (Moto 360 and Moto X 2015 with leather back)
