So have any owners if the nuud tried it yet with a tempered glass screen protector already applied? Just wondering because I have a glass protector and haven't heard anyone mention it yet

I tried it with a Bodyguardz tempered glass protector, the case didnt fit quite right unfortunately. It seemed that if it fell or hit something hard, it would pop apart. There is only enough room in the case for the phone to fit snug so that the seal around the screen is tight.

Sadly I removed my glass screen protector (which I loved) but have no regrets, the Nuud is awesome.

I have a Best Skins Ever front and back on. I worked hard to get them lined up and perfect. I like to have the freedom to take the case on and off and possibly switch cases. I would like to keep the skins on all the time.

Can someone explain why the seal wouldn't work on a simple thin screen protector? I sent an email to lifeproof but no answer yet.

If I used the provided one by lifeproof it wouldn't be a great screen cover if I decided to go no case for the day.

Honestly I don't plan on taking underwater pictures. I wouldn't mind if it's just water resistant rather than water proof.

because the case is designed to fit iphone dimensions (without any sort of protector layer) with little tolerances as possible.

if you prefer using a screen protector or skins then this case is not for you.

I have a white iPhone. Would it look stupid to get a black nüüd, or should I stick to white?

U are correct sir!

There is a YouTube video of someone who had a zagg front with the nuud.

He tried to test it's shock absorption by throwing it on the concrete, and both times, the top of the case popped open.

I would have loved to use tempered glass also but the risk is not worth it

If you're contemplating about white or black, take a look at this:

I got the white when it was available for order on BB's website. But after having it in my mind, the gray sides really seemed dull, and I noticed it would get dirty more easily than the black.

The black looks badazz, with the sides and front semi-matched colored.

I prefer the black, and am returning the white..

On another note, here's a comparison of the crooked white's home button vs the black's perfect aligned home button:

On another note :) ... I applied a spare BodyGuardz back cover on the back of
the plastic. Its not cut perfect at the top where the camera lens is, but at least it covers most of it..Now I just hope those damn bubbles dissipate over the next couple days

Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to see. I'll be getting a black one.

On another note: is the back equally clear on both black and white?

Ordered mine for in-store pickup, (1 hour drive) I called. They have it.

:) I've only ever been this excited for the phone itself, and my MacBook Pro.

No. The white cases back is clear. The black cases back is a smoked clear. Here is a comparison of my old clear 4S back vs the Smoked back: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1373728035.004008.jpg

I watched the video of the guy drop testing with a Zagg front skin on. The case did pop open some, but snapped right back together.

I'm really hoping I can make this case work without removing my BSE. I'm not around water all that much and I don't plan on dunking the phone on purpose. Just being rain and splash resistant is good enough for me.

The skins are so thin, surely the tolerances aren't that exact. Has anyone installed the case with both a front and back skin/shield on? Does it snap together. I fully realize that theoretically the seal might not be perfect, but I'm ok with that as long as it snaps together.

The tolerances are awfully close. Remember that this needs to seal against the front of the phone and not allow water in as you swim in a pool. If it's off by a fraction of a millimeter then it's going to leak.

Frankly, though, if you don't want or need a waterproof case, then you might want to consider other options. The waterproofness comes with some trade offs, notably potential audio issues. If you don't plan to ever put the case in water then I think you would be happier with something that will work with your screen protectors.

I do like the other proofs as well like dust proof and shock proof. I have young kids and they do like to grab my phone when I'm not looking. I've never had a lifeproof, but I've had otterbox defenders for the 4 and dust got inside those cases very easily. I really like the look of the Nuud case and that its less bulky. I do like the idea of waterproof, but I will not be depending on it. I'm really just looking for the best protective case that doesn't add too much bulk and doesn't have a goofy built in screen protector that has oil spots or distorts the quality of the screen. I have researched a bunch, and keep coming back to this lifeproof case.

I starter with the switcheasy tones, but I really want more protection. Plus the tones has already started to stretch and the phone moves up and down in it.

How long have you been using the clear back on the 4S and did you get many scratches on it? I know a lot of people are concerned about scratches on the new clear backs, but you might have the answer everyone's been waiting for:)

I do definitely like fact that the lifeproof case is less bulky than a lot of other cases and offers a lot of protection as well... and now with the exposed screen of the Nuud case it's even better. And I suppose the dust proofness of it is still a pretty good reason to get one:)

If you're not that concerned about the waterproof ability, then you could always take a trip to best buy and pick one up and see how it works with your screen protectors, but I really think you'll have a hard time getting it to close and stay closed.

I used the clear back on my 4S from Nov. 2012 to May of 2013 ( when I got the 5 ) no real scratches noticeable. The outer edge, on the 4S backplate has like a pebbles type texture. Seems to be the same on the new Nüüd backplate.
There are a few but you really have to look for them. Can't get a good photo. But you can see the scratches on the black charge port door compared to the clear back. Alright so I have started to use my Nuud case and really liking it. As I said before the home button sticks up from the case a little. Do you guys think this will be a big deal? My big concern is that it will get stuff down behind it and mess the waterproof up. Do you think this could happen, or should I just get over it.

I just got my white nuud and my home button sticks up a bit too and I'm wondering the same thing.

Just get over it.

I think it's just a cosmetic issue. It looks like the home button is glued to a stretchy silicone membrane that makes it waterproof. The membrane seems pretty thick and durable, so I wouldn't worry about it (you can see it if you take your phone out of the case). Even if the home button didn't stick up it would still be possible for dust or bits of sand or such to work it's way down under the home button. The home button and the case aren't sealed against each other at all.

Ok cool thanks for the help. It really is not that big of a deal. I just wanted to make sure it would not mess anything up in the long run.
