So how did it work out at the lake this weekend?
Did excellent in the river. Swam with it for hours.

Whats the consensus on the sound of the nuud? I just returned a red fre because of the unnatural and low speaker. Would like to pick up a nuud, but only if the sound issue is fixed. Thanks
A potential alternative to the nuud. Click Here.
Well what I was kind of afraid of it happening. I am at work for the first time since I got my Nuud, and I am keeping my phone in my pocket (I don't have the belt clip. Not a big fan of belt clips). Dust and lint from my pocket are starting to collect in the corners of the case, and in the cut outs for the front camera and speaker. Not a deal breaker, but it does get really old trying to keep it clean. That was the one thing I really hated about the Otterbox defender case.
Interesting product and I'm very happy to see another waterproof case coming out. I'm a big fan of waterproof stuff and more competition is always better. Plus there have been a few times where I would have liked to have a waterproof case with an extended battery. Unfortunately the ease is pretty huge and downright ugly, but I imagine there's room for improvement before they go to manufacturing. The other thing I'm not happy about is that it just has rubber plugs to cover the ports. I'd be afraid that I might accidentally catch the plugs on something and accidentally open them while the case was underwater.
I'm also not sure that's really a good comparision with the Nuud given that it still has a screen protector... it might be better to compare with the Fre case. Right now the Nuud case is the only waterproof case with nothing covering the screen of the phone.

I don't keep my phone in my pocket, so I'm sure I don't pick up as much lint, but keep in mind that this has one big advantage over the defender... if you start picking up lint and such you can just take the phone to a sink and wash it off. Should be a lot easier to remove anything on the screen with running water and maybe a little soap.

Yea that is true. I am going to take it to the sink in a bit. I still love the case and it is miles ahead of the defender. Just a small thing that bothers me a bit. Also what do you dry your and case off with after washing is off? I have microfiber cloth, but it still has some dust on it, so it puts some back on the screen.
I already use the iBattz Mojo Refuel and have the nuud (used when needed), so this will be interesting to watch develop. I also like the 'zip seal' solution versus the gasket.
I haven't washed the Nuud yet, but when I would wash the Fre I'd usually just dry it with whatever I had on hand... paper towels or a hand towel... occasionally my shirt. Or I'd just shake it off and let it air dry. I guess with the Nuud and the exposed screen I might need to be a bit more careful about what I dry the screen with.
On a side note, you can certainly get a lot of interesting looks if people see you walk up to the sink and run water over your phone

Yeah, I'm not sure it's the right case for me... I've gotta say that I'm still pretty enamored with the nude right now, but like I said above, I'm glad to see more competition in the waterproof case arena and as the first waterproof case with an extended battery I'm sure they'll find a market.
Just noticed that my replacement unit has a slightly lose home button. Is this the case for most of the current owners? I may return it I may just receive the same condition. How is it for you guys?
Here is a tip for anyone having issues with other people hearing you on calls or them hearing themselves echo back while you're using the nuud. Take the case off and check all the seals inside the case - especially those around the mic and speakers. I was having problems with people hearing themselves echo back when I was using speaker phone. When I took the case off, I discovered that two black seals on the inside of the front of the case near the charging port were not lined up correctly and were blocking off the opening. Once I re-alligned them and put the case back on, I have had no issues since. Hope this helps.
This is likely the case with mine...but I can't see how to "re-allign" it. It seems to be stuck down really well. i'm afaid I will tear something.
Lose. I have not heard of a person on here that does not have one the is slightly lose. Did they make any that were not?
Mine was smashed down so bad that the top of the seal was on the bottom causing a complete blockage of the port. I used tweezers to very carefully move it back into place. Then I placed the phone in the front part of the case - bottom first to be sure that the phone sat on top of the seals and didn't move around. Then I snapped the back on.
My home button is ever-so-slightly crooked but not loose at all!
There appears to be a membrane which is glued to the case. Then, there is another layer and then the black gasket...I'm referring to the microphone side which was in the photo from my previous post. When you re-positioned yours did the black gasket separate from the middle layer, or did they move together? Mine came out with the black gasket stuck to the middle layer. I repositioned it and it does seem to sound better, but I'm concerned I messed something up.
