If I remember correctly 12,30GB. After installing apps it comes down to 11,76GB.
Apps that you have downloaded or preinstalled apps that are in need of updates?

I think my Nexus 5 is going back. This microphone problem during videos is a big problem for me.
One of the 3 things I do most on a phone is record 1080P video, since I don't take with me my point and shoot camera all the time.
Between this and the vibration problem the phone has lost a lot of its attractive. The phone is awesome. It's probably the best one right now. I love how smooth everything is; I love the build quality; I love the screen; etc.
But Google is seriously making a mistake trying to make the Nexus devices so cheap.
Have they included a cheap microphone and vibration motor inside or what?
Man i dont have those issues either. Never had a video sound or play choppy. I have a replcement coming tomorrow but hell i think i may as well send that one back. The one i have is working great since i fixed a couple of small things. The first guy i talked to sent me a link for a replacement but then after him i got my small issues fixed but figured what the hec, ill have one sent out.
The vibration isnt that strong but i can live with that. The vibration spurts are real short too. I do wish the ringer was a little louder though.
There is a video in here someplace of the N5 being taken apert. The vibration motor is attached/sits in a slot to the battery cover and if you got another cover, it would would come with another vibration motor..
I got a Nexus 5 this morning. Initial impressions are very good. Once I have had it a while I will give my impressions.
I'll be waiting
I would recommend everyone franco kernel.
Best one I've tried so far.
Lost like 5% battery over 12 hours last night. Really good.
It all depends on your usage.
I have no problems with the ringer or the speaker or the buttons rattle or the display. No yellowing, dust or dead pixels.
I have my phone in mute a LOT of the time. I seriously can't feel the Nexus 5 vibrating inside my pocket. I can't even feel it vibrating when I put it resting in my leg. I will miss every single call when in mute. That's a fact.
Then there's this bug I found today when recording video. It won't go away in any video I record. I've read other people with this problem over at XDA.
Like I've said before: this is the best experience I've ever had on a phone. I'm talking about software. But as a phone it's not that great. It's that simple.
I'm not going to keep a great smartphone that doesn't work that good as a phone. I could ask for a replacement but I would be playing the lottery again. I had to go through 5 Nexus 7 until I found a good one.
I'm probably going to go back to my SGS3 until a new top smartphone comes out that's interesting.
I may give the Nexus 5 another chance in a month or so, but this one is definitely going back.
But I have to admit that going to another phone after trying the Nexus is gonna be real hard. Going to a manufacturer skin will be horrible.
No knock on feature with that one? I dont want to root and install a kernal if theres no benefit and my battery easily lasts the day for me.
I think there's an option to add double tap 2 wake feature. Someone told me about it in the franco kernel XDA thread, but I went with ElementalX first.
The problem is the double tap 2 wake feature drains the battery VERY fast. It takes 3-5% battery every hour while sleep. It took 30% of my battery in 12 hours or so the phone was unused, compared to thr 5% with franco kernel.
How is the audio quality with headphones? I've given up on the idea that the external sound is better but how about with earphones? I use my phone at the gym and want some decent sound for streaming music and watching movies.
Wow, i dont see how that would drain the battery. Its something that only works when its activated, unlike Lightflow that was running all the time.
Just curious, but how are you monitoring the battery drain of a specific setting from within the kernel? I'd love to have that app.I think there's an option to add double tap 2 wake feature. Someone told me about it in the franco kernel XDA thread, but I went with ElementalX first.

Apps like Better battery stats, wake lock detector, gsam battery monitor and such help.
I just found the holy grail for my SGS3: Ultimarom. It's the 4.3 samsung rom with stock AOSP rom all over it. No Touchwiz whatsoever.
It's so so cool. It's like my SGS3 had just turned into a Nexus device, and there are no bugs or FCs. I keep the samsung camera app, the blocking mode, the multiwindow feature, etc.
All but with stock android theme!!!
I can even have the Nexus nav bar if I want and all the Gravity Box tweaks for AOSP!!!!! I have the notification panel from AOSP, for example.
It's the most perfect rom I've ever seen.
Nexus 5... sorry but it's over I'm going back to my SGS3. Now that I have the stock look but with all the samsung features I want I have no more need for anything.
You can even chose what to install from samsung or google... I haven't installed Google Now or most of samsung bloatware and apps, only the clock, multiwindow, ringtones and little more.
It's super super fast.
This is amazing, seriously. My SGS3 just turned into a Nexus/Samsung hybrid
How many of you guys use a wireless charger? Does the Nexus 5 have the same wake lock problem after using a wireless charger that the Nexus 4 had? Which wireless charger do you use?

Did the app install Snapdragon 800 Andreno and the Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400
If so, man im going to get that same exact thing and sell my N5
Stop fooling yourself.

I wish!!
I would prefer the 2GB RAM over the Snapdragon and the GPU actually.
No, but seriously, I don't need that much power on my phone (at least for now). For playing games I've got my Nexus 7, which I prefer because of the bigger screen.
If I can stick another year with my old SGS3 then even better. That's why this new rom I found could be the key.
The Nexus 5 is obviously 100 times better than the SGS3. No one is saying the opposite. The question is: do I really need to upgrade now? I feel like I can still use my SGS3 for a little longer, so I can keep the money to upgrade later.
No fooling. Seriously
