I was hoping for the 5.2 inch display. 5.9 is huuuge.... :(

Appears we lose Qi Charging as well...

The rumors of the Nexus 6 being slightly smaller overall compared to the iPhone 6 Plus were wrong :(

Nexus 6 = 6" screen / overall 159 x 82 x 10 @ 184g

iPhone 6 Plus = 5.5" screen / overall - 158 x 78 x 7 @ 172g

Note 4 = 5.7" screen / overall - 154 x 78 x 8.5 @ 176g

OnePlus One = 5.5" screen / overall - 152 x 76 x 8.9 @ 162g

I cant believe they didnt keep the 5 and upgrade the specs, or upgrade the Nexus 7 either

Moto Blog has the price. Starts at 650.

159.26mm X 82.98mm x 10.06mm

Those are some diesel dimensions though.

iPhone
158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm

Yikes, so quite substantially bigger than 6 Plus/Note 4 then.

Arghhhhh......going to have to hold one of these in my hand before I can decide on which one to get

The 2014 moto x is $549 off contract

Is anyone truly surprised a bigger, faster, higher resolution device with potentially more storage is priced a tad higher than the Moto X 2014?

A 5.9" device won't be everyone's cup of tea, those interested in a big phabley will be comparing to other phablets, and in that regard the Nexus 6 still comes off $250 cheaper than much of the competition...

I do not understand why they only went with a 6" device however. A 5" device updated specs / improved battery to replace the Nexus 5 would sure have had a greater potential audience.

6 inches does seem rather large. I need to see the phone in person or some comparison videos before I decide.

They updated the nexus 5 page, looks like they know this phone isn't for everyone so they're keeping the previous model around. Shame there's no price drop on the old one.

This one is way too big for me (bigger than the iPhone 6+ even!) and going from $349 to $649 is a huge jump.

I wish they'd at least update the 5 to a 5.1 and improve a few things.

Google has lost their minds!

1) It's taller and thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus and Note 4
2) The price - $649? o_O
3) 5.9" --

...I could go on.

I usually get Nexus devices every year they come out...no way I can pay $649 for a development phone. :(

Should've just gone to 5.2 or 5.5 and called it a day.

Bigger and heavier than the 6 Plus and Note 4 is just ridiculous. And i don't see them shifting a lot of units as a result.

If they are keeping the N5 around maybe it will get a refresh a little later.

That price is unlocked with no contract. I bet when it is available for all the carriers it will be priced like the iPhone 6+ ($299) is subsidized.

I have to say, I do like on the Nexus page they are showing female hands holding the phone. It's possible that the phone and/or hands are 'shopped, but it's nice they remembered us ladies.

1) What's the point in continuing to sell Nexus 5 when there is Moto X?
2) Is Nexus 6's camera the same camera in Moto X?

Because the Moto X is near stock, but not quite. Also google don't own the moto brand any more.

I suspect the 6 has the same camera hardware as the X which isn't too bad. It's Sony hardware and very capable - just needs better processing s/w from Google/Moto.

I stand corrected it does have Qi charging. I may get it just cause it has the 805 and is water resistant. To be honest it is cheaper than trying to import either the S5 Alpha or the G3 Cat-6 (both have the SD 805).

Would love to see a real hands on video of the Nexus 6, hopefully something will come on YouTube before we can place a pre-order.

Seems like X is more expensive, especially for someone on T-Mobile. And needing a separate model just to support t-mobile doesn't seem like they handled it well.
