part of me still really wants to revisit the pixel. But with the S8 preorder in and the price of Pixel still being so stupidly high, it doesn't seem very wise.
I, like others, have no clue what is happening with these stock shortages either. If i did get one it would have to be the XL and now I've seen that blue i don't think od want anything else!

but all of us here on these forums are a little sick though I got a Pixel XL off amazon that just came in, it is nice but I think I like my Axon 7 better. Obviously the specs and all will be better on the Pixel but even my Axon is running 7.1.1. The XL was cheap so I thought I couldnt pass it up at the price(469) and use it a bit

Great pics. What's weird is that I had a Pixel for a couple weeks and one of the reasons I sold it was because the camera was so bad. The biggest issue is that it really struggled to handle any objects that were moving. My son was born in October and I had to take 2nd and 3rd pictures every time because they came out blurry.
Honestly I've never had a problem with the pixel camera, it has been one of the most reliable smartphone snappers I've ever used, but as with anything its all a case of YMMV when it comes to these things.
Even photos of my white dog, which is always a big problem for cameras in the sunlight because they tend to always over expose / burn when it comes to his fur has never been an issue on the pixel capturing amazing quality.
Couple more snaps of the dogs and like kids they can be a nightmare to capture at times because they are always moving or as I say above about the Maltese with his fur.

I was at a Best Buy near my dad's house today and overheard a sales clerk tell a customer who was looking at phones that the Pixel XL has been discontinued. He supposedly got word from somewhere. Take it with a grain of salt. But if you all have heard or read anything post it because I find it quite surprising if it is true. And a bit concerning for people who want a Pixel.
Yeah, I'd wager Best Buy has discontinued selling the XL but it's still available on the Google Store. In fact, it's more readily available than it's been in a long time--can get a 128GB Quite Black model by May 5.
Oh that's good news. Thanks. I was not overly confident in the word of the Best Buy employee after how they messed up things for my dad when he bought a computer from them. This one in particular seemed like he was trying to push a Samsung S8 on the guy.
They will push the latest and greatest over a phone that has been extremely hard to get for most it's lifetime.

Given it's seemingly always on back order it would indicate no, as there likely wouldn't be enough stock to accommodate 'more' demand from a price drop when it can't keep up with demand at the current high prices.
How Google have handled the pixel is just bizarre.
