I had zero issues with my Pixel but definitely glad I sold it.
The S7 range may not be perfect but it's far more mature as a phone platform. I'm happy to sacrifice buttery Nougat and a couple of other nice Pixel exclusives for how I routinely use my phone.
Pixel 2 will be great, I'm sure, and I'll probably plump for that, the iPhone 8 or Samsung S8.
2017 will be a wonderful year for smartphones, I'm sure.
That's the crux, no phone is ever going to be 100% perfect but you have to choose which devices niggles you can deal with or impact you less. Up to the Pixel the S7 was my best android device, but I spent most of my time with it trying to make it look and behave like a stock android device, and where I couldn't I accepted that. I had no performance issues really with my Exynos handsets and the battery life was great.
The pixel came as a surprise in the fact how much I have enjoyed it. It's made my android my primary used device which is a change as even with my S7E & S7 it still remained my secondary.
But I acknowledge stock isn't for everyone, and nothing in the pixel detracts from the strengths of the S7/7e and disregarding the Note 7 the 7e probably remains at least aesthetically looking the top android.
But I find myself in a rather good place with the pixel personally. I am saited appetite wise rather than merely content as I have been over last few years. I simply just enjoy using it, and have almost no niggles to write home about.
As expensive and overpriced as I think the pixel is, as stupid as its launch has been globally, it's the best buy android device I've had.
