Yeah can't tell with those bezels, I'm still hoping for a 620 CPU, wonder if the phone will be announced in September as we are getting a lot of leaks? Or will they stick with October? When is Android 6 out?
Finger print scanner on the back is still weird to me.
Some people believe that Android M doesn’t deserve the title of Android 6, mainly because it isn’t as big of an overhaul as previous Android 1.x releases have been or because it doesn’t accompany the visual changes we’ve seen on previous 1.x releases.
While on some level this is true, going over the long list of improvements does really put into perspective how big of an update M truly is.
Let’s go over all the features we will(or might) see on Android M:
• Now on Tap
• Permissions Management
• SD Cards can be “merged” with internal storage
• Android Pay
• Native fingerprint authentication
• Automatic app data backups
• App Links (you’re going to see less of those “what do you want to open this in?” prompts)
• Doze and App Standby
• Multi Window(currently hidden, uncertain future)
• Theming support(currently hidden, uncertain future)
• Dark theme(removed, uncertain future)
• Customisable Quick Toggles along with other UI tweaking
• Visual Voicemail Support
• Redesign of the Clock Widget and Music Identification Widget
• New “Memory” Section in Settings(it was there before, but hidden)
• Support for deleting screenshots directly through the notification centre after they’ve been taken
• Landscape mode available for the Google Now Launcher(feature will likely be backported to older versions of Android)
• New app and widget drawer with scroll bar support and vertical scrolling
• Built-In File Manager receives a bump in functionality
• Native tap to wake support
• Ability to disable “heads up” or “peeking” notifications
• Native 4K output support
• Stricter APK validation
• MIDI support
• USB Type C support
• New boot animation
• Introduction of a “voice interaction” API to allow better interaction with voice actions in apps
• Toggling battery saver by voice
• Ability to undo and redo text changes with bluetooth keyboard shortcuts
• Multi-selection to merge, delete or share has been added in the contacts application
• Faster text selection along with a floating toolbar for text actions
• Default apps UI
• Direct share can allow you directly share stuff with contacts through the share menu
• Much more granular app info
• Native bluetooth stylus support
• Split-screen keyboard
• Mobile radio active bug will be fixed
• Better do not disturb along with repeat caller exceptions
• Bluetooth scanning to improve location accuracy
• Native flashlight API
• Easier access to Multi volume controls(ringer, media, alarm)
• Smoother volume scrubbing (credits to Jason Efstathiou)
Putting all those features aside there are also a number of under-the-hood improvements that seem to have had a very positive impact on both performance and power usage.
Been watching a lot of reviews of the Huawei Honor 7 Plus and for £250 it's a very good device (even though not a fan of Emotion UI they have) so hopefully even with a few extra specs (QHD etc..) they can keep it coming in less that £300 and Google would have a hit
This may be too early to say, but I'm really hoping Google gets Sony onboard for the 2016 Nexus.
I really want to see an modern Xperia with stock Android. Hopefully by them, Android N (NUTELLA?!) will have some of the better features of TouchWiz (split screen, etc.) all baked in, too.
Anyway, sorry, back to this year's Nexus...

Sony's skin especially lollipop has some very stock aesthetics, sticking to very stock look notifications and lock screens. It's homescreen management is similar and app drawer whilst not 'card like' in stock lollipop it features a great slide out menu for extra App drawer customisation. Essentially it's like stock android, bit with a twist. Motorola's is closest to stock but Sony would come after them..
And noob question, how does Sony's software differ from stock Android? And does it have a name? Like TouchWiz, HTC Sense, GUX.
What about Samsung? People like Galaxy hardware and Nexus software, so it would be a good combination. Plus, the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus were arguably the best smartphones of their time, so people might want a repeat of that. And yes, I think the same about Android N (Nutella sounds the nuttiest one so far), hopefully that will remove any issue of not having TouchWiz features.

Samsung have already made one Nexus device, and only one. They also made one tablet. I think they then went and annoyed Google too much to ever be invited to make another.
Nope, Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 10. That's three Nexus devices. And why would they annoy Google? The two phones I mentioned were great for their time, they were both said to be the best Android phone you can get when they were reviewed. Now Samsung's hardware and Google's software have both fulfilled their potential, I can't see a better opportunity.

Tbh I'm not sure if you've used a Sony recently but it's pretty close to stock anyway! Not as close as Motorola but not far behind.
The Z3 Compact just flies, no lag. Think I made a thread about it on here. Really hoping they nail the Z5 range because that could be close enough to Nexus for me.
