Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
I will wait till the actual product announcement as I don't believe all of those rumoured specs.

Most telling is the 12.3mpx camera but that's all we know!?
So they've chosen to totally ignore the laser focus sensor cover and dual flash or flash and light spectrum sensor covers that are exactly like LGs other phones, that have been shown in all the LG Nexus 2015 device renders and the leaked photo of the back of the device.

Yeah I'll wait for the official word from LG or Google.

Yeah there are too many conflicting rumours about the internals now. The shape of the phone seems set, that's leaked enough. But yep just gonna wait now.

Nothing exciting here, just old and trimmed down hardware except the USB-C. Sigh.

Well, the 808 is a lot better than the 810 as it doesn't overheat! And the G4 is certainly fast with it. But that's if the rumours are true. I would not count on the rumours with the LG screen and battery as their have been just as many claiming 2K screen as their have been claiming 1080P screen, and the same with battery size.

Story now going around that the date has been set for September 29th for Google to announce the new phones and I guess Android 6. Phone Arena state no invitations have been sent but a lot of insiders have confirmed the date:

http://www.phonearena.com/news/The-...es-are-coming-event-set-for-Sept-29th_id73304

CNET have posted the original story:

http://www.cnet.com/news/google-will-hold-nexus-smartphone-event-on-sept-29-in-san-francisco/

I'm just looking forward to unlocking my phone fingerprint style like the iPhone, still not sure about using it to pay for things though.

Looking forward to what it will offer :)

The days of the 810 overheating is old news.... move along.

Yes first iterations were not up to standard, but too many upcoming devices are running with it for it to be as unusable as people would like to think.

It's more like, manufactures don't have a choice actually. If you want the latest top end Snapdragon the 810 is it, and their are plenty of people reporting overheating issues leading to the processor underclocking itself reducing performance.

LG would have happily used it in the G4 I suspect as it was a flagship device. Yet they didn't. Samsung has scrapped Snapdragon from its entire new flagship range.

Yeah I end up not using them either. Another of the nice things to have on your device that you never use. I don't ever put a passcode on my phone either. I guess we're just not the target audience then for it.

After using the fingerprint scanner on my iph5 it became a must for me, it's very convenient and easy. I'm not a passcode type either but the fingerprint adds a small layer of security and at least i know that if i lose my phone it won't be accessible very easy to people.

Same here. I always just feel a bit insecure without at least some type of screen lock on my phone, and that really hampers my enjoyment of the device. And the iPhone fingerprint scanner is bliss to use. I am coping with the swipe scanner on my Tab S 8.4 but on my daily driver phone I won't settle for anything less than a scanner of iPhone caliber from now on.

I've got Smart Lock on my G4.

So going out it's locked, then as soon as I reach home it automatically turns the lock off. Gotta say it's absolutely awesome.

Yep I think manufacturers should be keeping their options more open than just Snapdragon and I suspect they will be more so than ever now.

Heck, even Meizu are using Exynos 7420 and Helio X20 in upcoming devices so there are good performance options out there.

That said if the 820 really is twice as powerful and energy efficient than the 810 then they should win a few friends back.

So assuming $450 for the 32 gig. Versus probably $650 or $699 for the regular z5 means I will probably go for the nexus

Says there will be a light blue color offered, sounds good to me!

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!

mmmmm wonder what that will translate to in the UK, I'll be buying the top one regardless if it's 32GB or 64GB, but if it works out to £450 in the UK it better have some damn impressive specs as that's expensive. I hope it will be nearer £430. Thats around the price of the Galaxy S6.

So I think reading the rumours the actual specs for the new LG Nexus are likely to be:

Snap Dragon 808 with 3GB DDR3 Ram and a high clock speed, no idea what the 808 can go up to though?

5.2" IPS LCD screen, either 1080P or 2K, they seem to have had equal rumours so not sure

The design will look just like the renders, Gorilla glass 4 front, plastic back, metal frame / sides
Stereo front speakers
Fingerprint scanner on the back
Ceramic power and volume keys
Wireless charging built in
Quick Charging built in
USB C
4mpx front camera

13mpx rear Sony camera with OIS 2 and dual tone flash and laser auto focusing, a big aperture of around 1.8. It possibly may have a single flash and the colour spectrum sensor though like the G4.

Up to 4K video recording capable.
Size as per the rumours which is roughly the same as the new Z5.
LTE up to 450mbps, all bands
Bluetooth 4.1
Latest wireless chip and B,G,N,AC wireless capable on 2.4 and 5ghz bands
The usual GPS system.
Android version 6 with Android Pay linked to the fingerprint sensor for security.
NFC built in

Battery, tough one as rumours have been all over the place, but the balance has been tipping to the 2700 size, but I think it will be bigger around 2800.

Storage, well rumours have leaked about this only recently, but more of them have said 16GB and 32GB although that isn't many rumours so it could still be 32GB and 64GB.

So all in all I think it will be a kind of updated mini G4 phone. And I will grab one as long as it has built in wireless charging.

Up for pre-order on September 29th, deliveries end of October.

Yeah UK pricing is never like for like even with VAT added and Ireland's price is usually based on UK price rather than Euro pricing in the rest of Europe.

Still €600-650 for the Nexus 6 here.

Yeah, I paid £350 including shipping for my 32GB Nexus 5 from Google when it was launched. So actually the new top end Nexus 5 could be around the £400 mark which is not bad.

Yeah good round up. And I'd say that a mini G4 will be accurate specs-wise but the form factor will be very different.

Price will probably be £400 and £450, I think.

Tbh these new Sony Z5's have thrown a massive spanner in the works! It will be interesting to see what all the reviews say.

I'd consider an extra £50 for the 5.2" Z5 to be worth it over the Nexus 5X if the camera was going to be so much better. (Going off Clove prices).
