I seen Verge post about it.

Amazon has a same day delivery on it too. I have a 6 Plus & I thought about pulling the trigger to use it as a secondary device. But it'll just be a waste of money. I'm waiting on what will Apple announce for the next 6 Plus.

But nonetheless it's a GREAT deal... If I wasn't so heavily in the Apple ecosystem, I'll pull the trigger.

I know the Nexus 6 is old news, but for $349, that really is a great deal. And brings up a good point, in smartphones a year after it's release. This year the upgrades from last year have NOT been a massive improvement.

The budget friendly Nexus 5X might be a downgrade from the Nexus 6, or side-grade at best, and will cost $450. And the upcoming high end Hauwei Nexus 6X will cost $650/$700, and it's not that much batter than the current Nexus 6, the new 6X will get the Snapdragon 810 :( same 1440p screen, same 3GB RAM, and all else being pretty much the same. Now if the new Hauwei Nexus 6X had the Snapdragon 820, that alone would be worth it, but it has the ridiculed 810.

Thoughts ?

Nah man you don't know any of this for sure. This is speculation.

We'll all just have to wait. And also the Nexus 6 is just too big for most people. If that had been 5.5" it would have cleaned up easily, even at that original price.

What don't we know about the upcoming Nexus 5X and 6X or whatever they will be called ?

Pretty much the hardware info has been leaked for both. Snapdragon 808 for the Nexus 5 with a 2700mAh battery and 5.2" 1080p screen, and Snapdragon 810 for the Hauwei Nexus 6 with a 3300mAh battery, and 5.7" 1440p screen.

I think there will be some surprises with the camera, and the Huawei body is still speculation, it could conceivably be a different shape.

The reports say that Google haven't even settled on a final name yet, so that kind of tells us that at this point we can't know everything.

It will probably leak in full by 20th September though. Looking forward to it. Although the Sony Z5 has me REALLY excited!

The LG screen is still being rumoured to be 2k as well as 1080p. No final leaks have come out about it, or the camera, all that is known so far is it'll be around 13mpx, not the rest of its specs although an educated guess on them can be made like OIS and laser autofocus, dual flash or a flash and colour spectrum analyser sensor.

Im still hesitant to fully believe anything yet

never seen the huawei battery cited as 3300mah anywhere, only one single battery rumor report for the lg at 2700, which if true I really hope the 2k screen for the lg rumor is false.

the biggest dissapointment for me has been the seeming to be lack of 64gig on the lg, unless the huuuge surprise of a sd card is included but I really really doubt that

With Google it's typically both. They are not known for fancy introductions and showing off their new Nexus devices. They just show up on the date, and go on sale, and that's that. No formal announcement or big party, nope. They just go on sale one day.

I am still not sure about a FP scanner on the back. I just don't like the look of it. And, if the 5.7" rumors are true, I am not a fan of the hammerhead look of the back of it.

I'm really undecided between the new nexus and new moto style, being an android noob(having iphones) i still don't know how big Android M will be.

Surprised at the little info and lack of leaks on the upcoming Hauwei Nexus, supposedly releasing the same day as the LG Nexus ?

I say get the new Nexus if money isn't an issue. If you're willing to save money, the Moto X Style is a great option with little compromise.

Or could the Hauwei Nexus just be BS rumors, and not real at all ?

Google has never released two new Nexus phones at the same time before. And typically they've always been smaller sized phones, never a phablet, which the LG will be small again. A lot of people hated the Nexus 6 just due to it's whale size.

Regarding The Hauwei Nexus a leak has come out apparently indicating a 5.5" screen, although it could be an engineering sample:

With the latest rumored specs for the Huawei Nexus 6 indicating that the device will carry a 5.7-inch screen, there is some evidence to the contrary. Remember Zauba? Sure you do. That is the Indian website that tracks imports into, and exports out of India. Usually, we concern ourselves with the smartphones and Angler, which is reportedly the Huawei Nexus 6. Based on the different listings, it would appear that the phone has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of Samsung EMMC, LTE connectivity, and a 5.5-inch screen. Each unit is valued at $645 USD.

Of course, this could be strictly a prototype used for R&D. Still, it does throw into question all of those other leaks reporting that the phone would be carrying a 5.7-inch display. We expect that the real size of the screen will be made known on September 29th, when both new Nexus models are expected to be introduced.
