Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Yeah good round up. And I'd say that a mini G4 will be accurate specs-wise but the form factor will be very different.

Price will probably be £400 and £450, I think.

Tbh these new Sony Z5's have thrown a massive spanner in the works! It will be interesting to see what all the reviews say.

I'd consider an extra £50 for the 5.2" Z5 to be worth it over the Nexus 5X if the camera was going to be so much better. (Going off Clove prices).

I'm going to have faith it will be less than £450 due to the cost of the last Nexus 5. Google will want to be cautious with the pricing this time on both models as they alienated customers with the Nexus 6 pricing, as well as size.
And with the Z5 pricing being £525 on Clove and £550 from Sony and Amazon for the 5.2" model, than the new Nexus will be comfortably cheaper.

This is a rendering, but source says it is extremely close to the real deal. The spec's are different than listed too, real spec's Snapdragon 808...5.2" screen...2750mAh battery...3GM RAM...

I think some of those are wrong. For instance it has been constantly said the Nexus 5 will have a metal frame, and it is a 50 50 split on it having a 2K screen or a 1080P screen, even today PocketNow has stated it will come with a 2K screen.
And the battery size has had all sorts of different rumours, I think 2800 ish will be nearer the mark.
Rest I would believe.

As for the Huawei, a 1440p screen? Is that 2K? I can't see it having a 3300 battery either, most likely a 3000 one. Also the price is too high I think although no rumours have been leaked about it, but so far as I know Huawei doesn't make expensive handsets??

What is your source of info?

(Update: some specs) Huawei Nexus leaks again in hands-on pictures
http://www.androidauthority.com/huawei-nexus-hands-on-leak-636415/

Huawei Nexus unit disguised inside a protective plastic cover – the boot screen shown in one of the images reveals (or rather confirms) some of the key specs of the Huawei-made Nexus: Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Other hardware specifications for the Huawei Nexus suggest that the phone could come with a QHD (2560×1440) resolution 5.7-inch display.

Nexus 5 2015: Major leak reveals pricing, confirms release date
http://bgr.com/2015/09/03/nexus-5-2015-leak-pricing-release-date/

Google plans to unveil the new Nexus, which will be “probably” called the Nexus 5X, on September 29th. Even better, the source says the new device will be priced starting at $400, which means it will be quite affordable for a flagship device.

Google will start selling both the Nexus 5X and the new Huawei-made Nexus phablet on the Google Play Store on the same day as their announcement as well.

The most recent leaks about the 2015 Nexus 5 indicate the device will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and Andreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a USB Type-C connector (either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 connectivity), 2,700 mAh battery and Android 6.0.

The more I look at this year's Nexus, the less excited I get about them. : shrug :

I think the S6 stands a good chance going all the way through 2015! And even into 2016...

Never thought I'd say that about a Samsung smartphone.

We'll see come Sept 29th...

Yeah I'm feeling the same about my N5. Haven't picked up my iPhone 6 Plus since I got it. For me that is huge. :)

The 6 Plus is a big improvement over the old Nexus 5 IMO.

But the Hauwei Nexus could be the sweet one. Same size and footprint and high build quality as the Note 5. But...it will have the Snapdragon 810 :(

I think best to just wait for Snapdragon 820 phones next year. The 820 is a MAJOR upgrade over the 810, being cooler, way more efficient, and also much faster, and at the same time great battery life. The 820 is supposed to be state of the art awesome.

I'm excited for the new LG one, it'll replace my current LG Nexus. Should be a good upgrade, I think it'll have the 808 in it, would have been nice to have gotten the 620. Then again it may still do.

So long as wireless charging is built in.

There are so many near stock android and stock android devices between now and Christmas it's getting ridiculous - but in a good way :)

Yeap, but they don't have wireless charging grrr.... If this new LG Nexus doesn't have it I'll go nuts I think lol. I was going to get the Note 4 but the software updates put me off, I would get the G4 but on XDA people have had patchy results with the wireless charging stickers and the only back case with it built in has the front flap cover too. Which I don't want.
Then we have the Z5 that also don't have wireless charging...

So so far it's a process of elimination for me haha.

New photo and info on the LG model:

Earlier today, we told you that the new Nexus 5 (2015) could be called the Nexus 5X and come with a price tag of $399 for 16GB of storage, and $449 for 32GB of storage. The new Nexus models are expected to be unveiled on September 29th. That includes the LG made Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6.

We've seen renders before, allegedly showing off the Nexus 5X. Today, a new photograph has surfaced that shows a little more than half of the front of the phone. And we have to say that it looks very much like the aforementioned renders that we saw of the device last month.

Some specs were also mentioned with the photo. The handset will be equipped with the Snapdragon 808 SoC, which means it will carry a hexa-core CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM is inside and there is a 12.3MP rear camera. On front, you will find a 5MP snapper ready to take selfies and host video chats, and there will be a fingerprint scanner allowing the device to work with Android Pay. Lastly, the Nexus 5X will feature a plastic build. We imagine that Android 6.0 will be pre-installed on the phone. Earlier rumors suggested that the handset will sport a 5.2-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution.

Can't tell if it's in a case or not? Because all the rumours stated a metal frame? I hope this is still true. 12.3mpx camera should be a good one, better than the Nexus 5 anyway.
It looks to be a very close match to the renders:

Looks VERY thick.

I hope that means the internals and battery justify that thickness!

I thought the rumours stated a polycarbonate frame? If so, that isn't bad. The only phone I know to have the same material is the iPhone 5C, and that was pretty well built. It's not as good as metal, but it's better than the soft-touch material on the Nexus 6.

Great deal: Nexus 6 on sale for $349 (32GB) and $399 (64GB) on Amazon!
http://www.androidauthority.com/deal-nexus-6-on-sale-amazon-639674/

I know the Nexus 6 is old news, but for $349, that really is a great deal. And brings up a good point, in smartphones a year after it's release. This year the upgrades from last year have NOT been a massive improvement.

The budget friendly Nexus 5X might be a downgrade from the Nexus 6, or side-grade at best, and will cost $450. And the upcoming high end Hauwei Nexus 6X will cost $650/$700, and it's not that much batter than the current Nexus 6, the new 6X will get the Snapdragon 810 :( same 1440p screen, same 3GB RAM, and all else being pretty much the same. Now if the new Hauwei Nexus 6X had the Snapdragon 820, that alone would be worth it, but it has the ridiculed 810.

Thoughts ?

Nexus 6 is great other than being just a little too wide imo. That was my only real complaint, of and my battery life was a lot worse than what others would get. What do you people do with your phones that even chips from last year or two before cant handle? Yes I am realize they are more effecient but I am talking about performance
