Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
And here is the first leaked official press photo of the new Nexus 6P, nothing new and it looks pretty uninspiring to me? I really don't like that big hump at the top.

Ugh what were thinking that design ? I was all set on getting the Nexus 6P, but I'm so happy with my rooted and ROM'd Note 5, not sure I will now.

Plus they both have 5.7" screens, but overall phone dimensions the Note 5 is shorter, narrower and thinner than the Nexus 6P.

And then the SD810 :( fireplace in the Nexus 6P.

Looks like I'm keeping my Note 5.

There are more details leaking now about both devices.

If true, they are both pretty tall and heavy, with rather large iPhone-like bezels.

Not sure I'm feeling the design at all, the original Nexus 5 felt great in hand. This won't, I fear.

Yeah the 6P is supposedly taller than the Nexus 6

It's annoying having had the LG G3 and G4. The bezels are so small that most other phones I'm considering just feel huge.

The Nexus phones now have massive bezels, the Xperia Z5's do too. Considering a move back to iPhone 6S but the bezels are putting me off a bit!

In retrospect, Samsung have got the design spot on.

The specs of the Nexus 5 have appeared on Amazon and it states only 2GB RAM and a 1080P screen, 808 Snap Dragon, kinda glad I got the Note 5 in that case as I wanted 3GB RAM and a 2K screen.

I'd rather keep my HTC one M8 than get this phone. Sounds like a new phone with 2014 specs.

The X seems like a midrange device based off the Amazon specs. I'd be shocked if it cost more than $399.

Holy bezels Batman :p

Those large bezels, plus the software nav keys, take up so much space. Compare that side by side to the Note 5 with the same size 5.7" screen, very small top and bottom bezels, and hardware keys in the bottom bezels, giving you actual more usable screen real estate.

Over dimensions of both 5.7" phones;

- Huawei Nexus 6P = 159.4 x 77.3 x 6.6/8.5 mm @ 184 grams
- Note 5 = 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm @ 171 grams

The overall footprint of the Note 5 is a smaller, thinner and lighter device, with more useful screen due to no software nav keys.

Plus the SD810 fireplace in the Nexus 6P sort of scares me away. I am a huge Nexus fan, just owned the Nexus 6 for almost a year, and was all set on getting the Nexus 6P, but last month I decided to try out the T-Mobile Note 5, I rooted it and installed a custom ROM, and this thing is a beast. Super smooth, warp speed fast, and with the Material Dark theme + Nova launcher + Lollipop icon packs, this Note 5 looks just like my nexus 6, but is faster, has a night and day better camera, and beautiful display.

IMO the Nexus 6P is one of those phones I need to see in person, and play with it, see what it looks like in real life, how much larger it is compered to my compact Note 5. Is the 6P display close to as good as the Note 5's ? Camera ?

No way I'd order this phone off Google Play Store sight unseen, no way. I need to see this thing up close, and decide.

As big a Nexus fan as I am, it is pretty shocking just how basic and no frills Nexus phones are. Every Nexus phone I've owned, I installed a custom ROM from day one, so those ROM's have the extra features and a lot more customization than stock..
What things do you miss? I have an N5 for my phone and a Samsung Tab S for my tablet (which I assume is running Touchwiz???) I can't think of anything that my tablet has that I wish was on my phone.

The dimensions listed on Amazon for the 5X are 154 x 10 x 76mm, 177g. That's the same size and weight as the Moto X Pure.

As long as it's available with 32GB and doesn't have the ascending ringtone/audio nonsense that the Motorola phones have, I'm sold.

The Nexus 5X showed up today at the FCC. The size is listed as 146.9×72.5mm, which is what the earlier leaks stated, and makes much more sense than what was on the leaked Amazon listing. Also, it has Verizon bands. Now let's just hope the price is reasonable.

This 6P shaping up to be a pretty sweet Nexus. Maybe the best Android phone of the year, right next to the Note 5.

3,450mAh battery on the 6P, and with Android 6.0 "Doze" feature that's supposed extend standby time, and then with some tweaked kernel and good ROM, this beast could get 7h Screen On time.

My rooted and ROM'd tweaked T-Mobile Note 5 is giving me 6h Screen On time, and it only has a 3,000mAh battery.

Size wise the Nexus 6P should be the overall same in hand feel as the iPhone 6S Plus, and Galaxy Note 5. So if your comfortable with those, this will be approx. same footprint.

Now, is the 6P worth giving up my Note 5 for ?

I agree, the 6P may turn out to be the best phone of the year. My only concern is the price -- if it launches at the same price as the N6.
