I would love the G4 camera in the 5X, but I know it's doubtful.

They will gimp both the cameras, I fear.
I wonder if it's just a case that the camera software experience and processing of such is why nexus devices aren't greatest. I know Google camera app on my other devices produces poorer shots than their native camera apps yet the hardware hasn't changed.

Most likely it will be down to the software. Manufactures spend a lot of time and effort on the camera software and interfaces, reading reviews for apps like VSCO Cam or Camera FV-5, people say they are good but no better then the stock apps they use. But those two apps can use RAW files.

But in my experience these apps have poor interface designs when compared to what came with the device.

Yeah you're probably right.

I actually JUST downloaded VSCO to try it out!

Google Camera app is still a bit up and down, it's strange that Google don't seem to have ploughed more money and effort into it.

I feel that these 2 phones are going to excel at the things that Nexus phones have generally fallen behind in: build quality, battery life and camera. I understand and completely respect these desicions. I've always felt that Nexus phones definitely aren't the best around for these reasons, and I think Google will really do it right.
Screw Moto X, the 6P is going to be my backup plan if the S6 Edge+ doesn't work out.

Well the Nexus 5X and 6P have Wikipedia articles already. This is something I've never seen before.

Haha, that's funny! Everything has leaked now. We just don't know the availability and price. I must say the 6P is looking REALLY good (specs-wise), but I don't know if I want to spend over $600 for it. I love the productivity, camera and screen of my Note 5 way too much.

I'm eagerly waiting for tomorrow. I have an iPhone 6 and the 2013 Nexus 5, and with the Finnish prices (yet another hike) of the 6s, it might be that I'll upgrade the Nexus and try if I could go mainly Android.

My guess is this:
Nexus 5X
16GB: $399
32GB: $449
64GB: $499

Nexus 6P
32GB: $499
64GB: $599
128GB: $699

I heard rumours that the 5X would start at $399 and the 6P would start at $499. Pretty good considering earlier rumours suggested the original Nexus 6 price (which is still a possibility). I'm probably still going to get a Galaxy though, mainly because I like the glass build and the software.

I actually think the 6P will be more than $100 dearer than the 5X.

I just don't see the 6P starting at $499. If anything, I think it'd start around $599 to $649. The specs on the 6P rivals the Note 5. Google wouldn't undercut the price that much.

If this is indeed correct, I think I'll go for the 32GB or 64GB 5X, unless they've handicapped that model in some crucial way.

I'm probably still going to get a Galaxy though, mainly because I like the glass build and the software.

Well I could consider a Samsung hardware-wise, but I just can't tolerate their software. Fortunately in the Android world there's choice.

That's what I mean, I think the 6P will start higher than $500. In the UK the Nexus 6 was £500 to start with, and the Huawei looks more premium.

Everything I read is that the 6P will follow the same pricing as last years Motorola Nexus 6, starting at $649.

I bet the UK pricing for the 5X will be 16gb for £390 and 32gb for £440.

I bet there will be no 64gb version as its apparently been confirmed their will be a 16gb version, I also think it's possible the prices could be a bit lower but that features will be dropped like wireless charging or fast charging.

Nexus 5X (16GB) to start at $379. Available for Preorder tomorrow. It's the price I expected for a mid-range phone.

16GB storage, 2GB of ram, plastic case, naw I'm good. I will pass on this one.

Lol, I guess I should apologize to you for being wrong about the prices. Your starting prices were nearly spot on.

Big question though, expandable storage? Yes I know, Nexus phones have never had it, but Marshmallow adds native support for it, like it does with fingerprint scanners and USB-C, both of which are on both phones. It probably won't happen on the 6P, but on the 5X it looks like a possibility. Here's why:

1. My reason regarding Android Marshmallow
2. The back looks removable. Don't really see why they would make it look that way otherwise
3. We've only seen 16GB and 32GB models. There might be a 64GB model, but if there isn't, I think expandable storage is a must. Plus, it's unusual to have a non-expandable phone starting at 16GB.

Apology accepted. It's nice being right for once. But can I ask where you got this info?

6P will be 649 32gb 699 64gb. I bet a jam sandwich on it.

If nfl46 is right, you owe me a jam sandwich.

Very competitive price for 6P if true. Shame it has the Huawei branding on the back of the device. Would have just preferred Nexus on its own.

Take that OnePlus :p I'd take a Nexus 5X @ $379.00 over the OnePlus Two any day of the week, plus official support direct from Google, not having to rely on OPO and Oxygen OS

But personally I like larger phones with big batteries, and the Nexus 6P for $499.00 32GB is a super good price for a beast like that. Much cheaper than the expected $649 price I was expecting. I will probably get this phone, but expect it to be sold out in 30 seconds tomorrow, and hopefully not a disaster launch like the Nexus 4, where they major underestimated demand, and was pretty much sold out for 3 months straight, wasn't available in stock until like February after launch. Every time stock replenished, it was sold out in less than 2 minutes, and back ordered for two weeks, rinse and repeat for three months :(

I expect the Nexus 6P really hard to get right away, will be sold out soon after they put it up on the Play Store, and the Nexus 5X, LOL good luck with that, there's a ton of people looking for a smaller and affordable Nexus again, the 5X will be impossible to get anytime soon, that thing will be sold out in 2 seconds.
