My Moto X Style ships tomorrow. Think I may just get them to cancel and wait and see if the 6P will be priced at 499 too. Especially as Ireland is now included as a launch country at least according to that leak.

Nah... I'll keep the Style order and will likely pick up the 6P as well :) then keep which I prefer.

Curious U.S. Carrier supply of the 6P ?

What was T-Mobile's availability of the Motorola Nexus 6 last year ? I thought they got limited supply pretty quick. Yes after Google Play sales, but not too far behind. I would think T-Mobile will have it mid October.

Anyways, Play Store will sell out of these immediately at these prices. Google sucks at managing demand, and always underestimates supply needed. If you don't preorder the 6P tomorrow, the minute they go on sale, good luck getting one any time soon.

The gold 6P looks really nice. Shame it's only available in Japan at first.
I thought same thing. If I was going to order one I'd like the gold one. Not sure what the feck Google are doing here as it's only releasing in a handful of territories as is you'd think stupid territory exclusives wouldn't be a part of their launch plan.

Ouch, if you guys have been paying attention to Android Police today with the latest leaks, they have taken all my interest in this device right away, no OIS or wireless charging....I know they are leaks but im sure they are accurate at this point.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Loads of leaks have come out, I've lost all interest now as neither Nexus will have wireless charging, I had my suspicions about that. Think that having seen it the new Z5 is a better device then the new Nexus 5.

No SD card support in either device:

http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...be-a-microsd-card-slot-in-the-nexus-5x-or-6p/

No wireless charging in either device:

http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...6p-and-5x-wont-have-wireless-charging-either/

And it is looking more and more confirmed the Nexus 5 will come in only 16 and 32gb versions.

The wireless charging thing surprises me. It's always been there for the recent Nexus devices. What is Google thinking.

Right, I figured they wouldn't have SD card support but the no OIS and lack of wireless charging ruined this even being a secondary device for me.

With my Note 5, I bought three of their cool wireless fast chargers. Now if I get a Nexus 6P they are useless until some other cool phone next year.

And with the 6P having a lesser camera than the Note 5, most likely a lesser display too, and the hot SD810, and 3GB RAM vs 4GB RAM, I am thinking just keep my Note 5, now with the great XDA development really starting up for it.

Ughhhh. I KNEW Google would drop the ball with these phones. I was so excited for the 6P but no longer. I'm not getting rid of my Note 5 for it. At this point I'm not willing to get rid of this camera (ois), top notch screen, and wireless charging for timely updates. Luckily for me, I only paid $550 for my brand new Note 5.

Good luck ordering one. You have less than a minute before its sold out for weeks and months. :(

Don't think you should be writing off the Nexus devices until they are at least thoroughly tested by reviewers and users.

We won't know of it'll have issues with the 810, whilst certainly some have the HTC M9 for example hasn't had any problems with it. We can't say the camera sucks either until we at least see evidence of such.

There's potential here that these could be amazing good value devices and of course potentially weak but we cant just blanket assume. We can only wait and see.

Sure hope it doesn't follow the Nexus 4 launch ? It was also only sold through the Play Store at first, and that thing sold out in seconds, was nowhere to be found anywhere until like February the next year.

It sold out the first day right away, and then two weeks later went back in stock on the Play Store, and 30 seconds later sold out again for 2 weeks. Rinse and repeat for three months. That Nexus was near impossible to get, it didn't have a steady supply in stock for at least 3 to 4 months after launch.

I don't expect the 5X and 6P to be that bad, but I will not be surprised if it's close to that poor supply. I bet these new Nexus phones will be super hard to get over the next month.

What, on the 6P? Wow, that's the first Nexus phone not to have wireless charging since the Galaxy Nexus. But it's kind of understandable considering the metal build.

Catching up on this thread is a rollercoaster - unbelievable excitement at the price, utter dejection because certain features are missing...

- Clearly the 6P wouldn't have wireless charging, how many all metal phones have it?
- I said earlier they'd gimp the camera somehow, let's see if OIS is missing
- No micro-SD was pretty obvious too, hardly shocking.

The great thing is the price, if true. Will still have premium build quality, a fingerprint sensor, a great screen... It's just the 810 and camera that are question marks.

No OIS for the camera, and no wireless charging is a bit of a downer, I love my fast wireless charging for my Note 5, you get used to that very quickly.

Your missing the point mate, NEITHER Nexus device is said to have wireless charging or OIS.

And here are the leaked official Nexus 5X specs. I'll go and find a wall to bang my head against now....

http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...eals-full-nexus-5x-specs-confirms-2gb-of-ram/

With less than a day to go before Google announces the new 2015 Nexus phones, a document has leaked with full specs for the Nexus 5X. We already got the details on the 6P from the previous slideshow leak, so now you can see how they stack up. Perhaps the most relevant item confirmed by the leak, there's just 2GB of RAM in the 5X as previously rumored.

Here's the full spec sheet

nexus2cee_J0jZrNW-668x796.png

We're confident this leak is legitimate not only because it lines up with the specs and features we've been hearing about, but the camera promo pic shows the updated Google Camera 3.0 UI, which we got a look at recently. The rest of the doc is on Imgur, but all the important parts are here.

nexus2cee_nc-668x265.jpg

The choice to go with 2GB of RAM will be devastating to some people. The standard for a flagship phone, even one with a Snapdragon 808, is 3GB these days. With only 2GB of RAM, the Nexus 5X is matched with the Nexus 5 from 2013. It might be totally fine on Marshmallow with 2GB—it's hard to say if this will really matter. Still, that number is smaller than the number people were expecting.

nexus2cee_4bCTFZc-668x510.png

The rest of the spec sheet is in-line with expectations. There's a Snapdragon 808, 5.2-inch 1080p screen, and a 12.3MP camera. The fingerprint sensor will turn on and unlock the device, according to the document. We'll find out tomorrow if the Nexus 5X is indeed "the champ," but it's clear Google is positioning the 6P as the true flagship Nexus.

No OIS is a bit of a surprise, but again they were never going to give the 5X a stellar camera, something would always be taken out. I reckon it will be around the level of the LG G3 from last year, except maybe a bit better.

The G4 doesn't even have wireless charging, the 5X was never going to. USB-C should be quick by most accounts.

Again, no OIS is annoying but hardly surprising on a Nexus at that price point. Ditto wireless charging.

Now the 2GB RAM, that is a shock, gotta admit.

Clearly, the 5X is being priced aggressively, with some clear subtractions (wireless charging, OIS, RAM) but the camera will probably be solid, there's a fingerprint scanner, great speakers, the screen size is the sweet spot for most...

The X will be an everyday "champ" whilst the P will be premium, I reckon.

After all these leaks, the only real surprise is the RAM. Otherwise, I think Google will nail the presentation tomorrow.

FYI:

"Update: we've confirmed that the lack of image stabilization is, in fact, due to the new 1.55µm pixels in the image sensor. Presumably that means that the Nexus 5X will include an extra-dense camera sensor as well."

We don't know about the speakers yet though as no ones heard them, plus the price is yet to have a confirmed leak, its all guess work on that at the moment.

And it would be passable if it wasn't for the old Nexus 5 having wireless charging and OIS and top level specs at a cheap price, now it seems they will just offer the cheap price?
The majority of LG handsets seem to have OIS, the G3 did. So I'm not confident how good an LG handset camera without OIS is going to be?

And I just replied to you're post in the Note 5 thread :)

I am looking at the Nexus 5X. I really want this in my Android Phone: good software, fingerprint scanner, NFC, 1080p display or better, 64 bit processor, 4k quality camera, turbo charging. USB Type C is an added bonus. I just hope that 32 GB will not be that expensive.
