2700 mAh? Is that big enough?
For the small Nexus phone, yeah be OK. But I wouldn't want that lower end version.
I much prefer the high spec'd, with the nice 5.7" screen, and 3,500mAh battery

In light of Android M, does that mean we'll see USB-C charging ports for the new Nexus devices?
Are they "backwards compatible"? Can you use current micro USB to still charge a USB-C port? I'm not familiar with the tech...
Nope. To my knowledge, the Micro USB and USB C have different ... almost everything, really. I doubt you could even plug a Micro USB into a USB C spot, if only for the shape and size.
Also, probably will come with it. I'm guessing it'll be some sort of USB-C on one side and USB 3 on the other, or maybe they'll throw in an adapter.
You can get Google photos already in the play store. I don't think it looks any better than what I have the the Samsung Gallery app on my phone.
I do this now with Dropbox. Works cross platform and every photo i take is in one location regardless of what device i was using. Dropbox just doesn't have photo editing tools. It's more the ability to have those photos available on all devices iPad, iPhone, android tablet, android smartphone regardless of manufacturer that's appealing.

Yessssssssssssssss.*
Now hopefully Andrew M brings cool new features.
*If true.
Looks like Andrew M and Android M failed to live up to the hype machine. YAAAAAAWN, bored with Android already.
I don't remember hype either. But I would like to see a lot the Nova launcher features be incorporated to Android. There was hype to android m?
Otherwise I agree. Some good key features but otherwise pretty ho hum. And still missing some key things I'd like to see finally get added to stock android.
I hope they put in a bigger battery than a 2500+. The 2300 in my Nexus 5 sucked.Hell YES to both! You go Huawei and LG!
A few months ago, I didn't like the rumor that LG was going to do it for the third time. I felt LG didn't try hard enough or had nepotism to their own phones. But after owning the $180 LG G3 Beat, I am all for them! Today is the first time I am testing my Beat after a 100% full charge. On airplane mode and 45% brightness, I am still at 80% batt with 2.5 hr SOT watching HD vids and Wi-Fi. This little guy might end up giving me 12 hr SOT on its first try. My Xiaomi is very good at 8-10 hr SOT, but the LG might crack 10-12 hrs easily and could be 20% more efficient. I am a frugal and efficient user but that is terrific. And I didn't use the Beat at all for two days. Each day drained 3%. That 700 hr standby time claim could very well be closer to the truth. The only thing I don't like with the Beat is the selfie cam and sound could be louder. Overall, life is good!
LG can make a 720p Nexus again with 2500+ instead of the 2100 found on Nexus 4 and provide better camera, the LG Nexus could be a real winner. I am so anti-QHD. Give me HD w/ 2500+ mAh or FHD w/ 3100 mAh. The LG Nexi were always offered the cheapest initially but had too many compromises like poor batt, washed out screen, and weak cam. But I believe in LG if they can focus on lower resolution and specs with a minimum 2500 mAh battery and give us a decent snapper that can outshine most midrange devices. I love that so many others copied their KnockOn feature and they resurrected webOS on their TV's. Go LG! Third times the charm?
Huawei is also another up and coming brand to watch along with Oppo, ZTE, and Meizu. Check out their Honor 4C and 4X. Affordable with excellent battery life and decent cam as well.

Me too.
As I said before, the new Nexus 5, while interesting, will have to hit so many targets before I leave my S6 for it.
Basically, the S6 sets the bar really high for this year's flagships. I want Android M and faster updates, so I'll look to the new Nexus 5 or the new Moto X, but I also want little-to-no compromises from the strengths of the S6. Talking about battery, superb camera, hopefully more features to Android M (seems there is multi-tasking but it's unfinished or hidden away or something?), gorgeous screen, good build quality, etc. Price will be a factor too.
Bring it on, LG/Google! Don't let us down.
Oh yeah i agree. I still wish our GS6 had at least a 2700 MaH battery in it. I surely would be fine sacrificing a millimeter of thickness for it. The faster updates is really the only draw for me with Nexus devices. I missed other features that Samsung has. Well and price but they blew that with the Nexus 6 and its way too big form factor for me.
I also love the loudness the ringer and notifictions have that Samsung brings. My N5 was horrible in that regard.
The S6 speakers are amazing. Super loud, super clear. I can forgive that they're not front firing.
Are they warm and non-fatiguing with rolled off treble, or are they bright and brash? I love the tone my 6+ speaker puts out and two of those would be just perfect. I don't care for loud volume, I want sound quality.
That was in reference to the "full of bugs" comment. I was saying...at least Apple was quick to take care of them. No software of going to be perfect. If we are talking about buggy software, then Android L takes the cake. And yes, I know because a majority of my smartphones last year were Android.
And Google has not quick releases patches to Android?
Every year I read that this release of Android/iOS is buggier than the last year one so I will take your claims with a pinch of salt.
By the way, last year smartphones? L was released mid November
5.7"..... Still too big imo. No go for me and I see another lackluster selling Nexus phone if they only build one size.Huawei Nexus smartphone confirmed: Chinese company working closely with Google
