A common problem reported on the 6p is that GPS orientation and the compass is incorrect. I too have this problem and I'd consider it a software deal breaker.
I notice myself testing on a compass apps it seems to be down to the orientation detection of the device. If you hold your phone at a 35-90 degree tilt backwards (screen facing up) compass is accurate, as soon as you try device 90 degree upright it loses all idea of where its facing.A common problem reported on the 6p is that GPS orientation and the compass is incorrect. Looks like you didn't do much at all. Did you just keep the screen on without using any apps?
When I saw it I was wondering too. However I checked mine and it looks similar. I have been playing music from google play music from the speakers for roughly 5 hours....it isn't even on the battery graph . Been browsing for about 2 hours too and chorme barely shows up.Looks like you didn't do much at all. Did you just keep the screen on without using any apps?
That's mostly expected. On a phone that large, the screen is a major drain. When I saw it I was wondering too. However I checked mine and it looks similar. oh wow. I am wondering, does the cable itself have the mechanism that holds it into the phone, or does the phone hold that mechanism? Reason why I ask, if it is the phone that holds the mechanism then the phone would be the problem. So my power cable is completely hosed and barely stays in the device.
Called Google the morning, they'll replace it for free...except they need to replace the whole phone as well.
Next step is to call Huawei.
So I tried three things.oh wow. I am wondering, does the cable itself have the mechanism that holds it into the phone, or does the phone hold that mechanism? Reason why I ask, if it is the phone that holds the mechanism then the phone would be the problem.
Have you tried the other end of the cable? It would be unlikely both ends are bad. So if the other end does not hold, it would lead me to believe that the phone is the problem.
So I tried three things.
Side one of the double USB-C is hosed. It barely charges the thing. Two times I have plugged the thing in only to have it not charge over night. Thank God Doze is super effective, so I can plug it in again and it fast charges before I head to work.
Side two of the double USB-C is alright ish. It seems to charge, but is still a bit wobbly.
The included USB-C to USB-A cable fits almost perfectly.
I flipped the cable the other way and it seems better. You are 100% right about skipping the hassle. I feel like Google should just replace the darn cable especially if it's adopted across multiple devices.oh okay. Sounds definitely like the cable is the problem. I haven't experienced any problems with mine as yet. So hopefully it is not widespread. I don't see why Google wants you to return the phone as well though :s. I would probably just skip the hassle and order a usb C on amazon. I got one for my car (techmate I think) that is certified by Google. I can send you the link if you want. I think it was 9 or 10 bucks.
keep both and switch every monthGoogle dropped the 5X $30 permanently if anyone is interested. I'm still playing with mine alongside my 6S. Torn on whether or not I'm going to switch.
Is prefer not to have two phones I'm constantly switching between lolkeep both and switch every month
Every month? Heck I switch between my Note 5 and iPhone 6s + weekly sometimes daily!keep both and switch every month
