But Apple can't upgrade things constantly. Really in the iMac's case it's maximum one per year. If they update it now but keep Skylake, we'll be in the same situation in another year or 18 months' time - everyone bursting for a new iMac but Cannonlake not ready, and they will ship Kaby Lake just as it's old news.Even if Intel don't have another chip ready i'm sure Nvidia/AMD have new graphics , or SSD's have dropped in price so they can put bigger in for the same price, or RAM can be increased, or WiFi/Bluetooth standards will have been improved.
I'd like to see Apple go along with Intel's schedule and put the latest processors in ASAP. It's embarrassing how long Apple pumps out Macs with chips two generations old.
