I would like to make a suggestion but I need to be sure I understand first. Is the issue that you cannot call from your iPad until you turn cellular off? What it's telling you is that you need to be connected to a Wifi network when you try to use it for calling and for receiving calls. The Numbersync service will not work over the iPad LTE. Now, I may have misunderstood so let me know if were talking the same thing.Still no answer from Att about VPN and phone NumberSync phone calls. If I have my iMac with canadian VPN I can answer the calls. Billing is 2 days delayed.
BTW works great, but on my iPad air2 it says that it needs to be on wifi, when wifi is on with celluar also on. I turn of cellular and I can use it. Wifi assist is off.
I've liked Att that they first of all test their products and only after , may be with some delay, offer them to us. Now Att went T-mo's way, they offer a product with some bugs and lack of info.
Problem 1: I have my cell data on and my wifi on and cannot make a call. "Connect to wifi network to make a cll" When I disconnect cell data and leave my wifi on I can make a call.I would like to make a suggestion but I need to be sure I understand first. Keep in mind what this service is. This is to go across the internet to a mobile system using WiFi calling. Your calls meet with the calls coming over towers then on to completion. If your phone calling plan is billed for Canada calls then this will act the same. The service itself is only available in the US and Puerto Rico. If your LTE iPad is connected to WiFi when you try the call, it should work. My iPad is Wifi only so I can't test for you but I'm sure others can.Problem 1: I have my cell data on and my wifi on and cannot make a call. Problem 2: With Canadian VPN I can make and recieve calls, should I pay for roaming and long distance?

I don't seem to be having that problem. With my iPad Air on wifi and cell data on was able to call my google voice number using my iPad while my iPhone is on cell only.Problem 1: I have my cell data on and my wifi on and cannot make a call. Plays through the watch speaker. I tested first by making sure my headset was connected to my watch and just made a call. I tested second by starting music from the watch to headset then making a call. The music on the headset stopped during the call but all audio was through the watch. Unless I missed something, no talking through the watch to bluetooth headset.Has anyone tried wifi calling from apple watch using Bluetooth headset, while iphone is on airplane mode or switched off? I'm curious to know if the audio gets routed to headset or plays through watch speaker

I confirmed earlier from my LTE iPad that it does work.
From a technical standpoint, yes it would work. From an as implemented on the phones right now, nope. They would have to add a way to pick which number your outbound calls came from. You could feature request it.Nice!! I wonder if this would work with two iPhones? I have one for work and one of my own, and it'd make my life much easier if it did!
This change is not working for me. if I turn off wifi on my iPad, I get the message that wifi must be active to make or receive calls. if I turn wifi on, I can make or receive calls on my iPad. I disabled wifi calling and activated again and still does not work.
