Hello Everyone,

I've had my mac for about 5 years now and absolutely love it. I've done many a lurking around here looking for issues to some of the minor issues I've had and figured I'd make an account. I'll most likely remain a lurker, but I'll gladly chat with anyone willing!

Have fun,
Gersh66

Welcome and enjoy!

What up from Baton Rouge, la! Happy Mardi Gras! I've been using my Mac for about 5 years now. I use Lightspeed POS for work purposes and it works with iMac so we use that, as well. Also, errrrrybody has an iPhone- so I'm almost appled up 100. All I need is an Apple TV. Donations are happily welcomed! Haha just bought roku. Love it. Hope to keep searching and finding answers to all my Mac issues here.
Blessings!

Hi,
I have just joined the community.
I love marketing and working for almost 3 years in IT company Trust Sourcing as marketing manager. My job is very related to mobile development and app promotions. That's why I try to catch up all news and trends. Now I am involved in a startup that built Apple Watch app called parkOmator that is a "parking assistant" and helps people to avoid parking tickets.
Personally, I am using iPhone 5s and want to upgrade it to 6s.

I joined MacRumors Tuesday, January 26 just after I completed my online order for a 21.5 4K iMac. I started a thread about the order. I probably should have started here but didn't think ahead. Anyway, I've been a pc user Windows 3.1 which probably pre-dates most members of the MacRumors forum so I will have much to learn about this new desktop computer.

I decided to change computer platforms when I allowed the upgrade(?) from windows 7 to windows 10 take place on my resurrected Gateway SX2801 pc which caused problems I could not work around. (The Gateway pc had been declared DOA by the local store that originally sold it to my daughter in 2011.)

Hello everyone:).

I’m agreen hand mobile app developer, my app called Sudy, a tinder style dating app with different functions.

I made Sudy works the tinder way, you can swipe right/left to like or dislike someone. The difference is that you can add some to blacklist to prevent harassment.

All members must be voted in by existing members, anyone who weren't voted in can only use sudy as a visitor. And members can share pics on Moments(like wechat) to draw attention.

It's my first time to develop an app:), and I hope you guys like my debut .

If you are interested in my work, plz try it and give me feedback.I really appreciate all your test and review.

And I’ll be grateful to all of your opinions, like what do you think about this app?will you use this app or not?how do you feel while using it?Or anything else.

Hello Everyone.
My name is Basti and I live in japan for about 16years now. Got two son`s and love skateboarding and Photography.

About a month ago my iMac 2011 fell from the desk and was to expensive to fix. Since I am not super rich< I was looking for a solution.
I found a Mac Pro 1,1 with 2x 250gb HDD`s, 8GB of ram and 2 dual 2ghz cpu`s. I bought 2 x5355, a
GeForce GTX 550 Ti SP, an airport card and a 1TB and a 2TB HDD and 8GB of ram to get 16GB..
Than I took the mac apart and rewired some cables. I replaced the superdrive with a LiteOn ATAPI iHAS324 B( with a firmware hack ) used one of the two hidden sata ports and took power from bay 1.
I still had some hardly used 160gb IDE drives here so I put them in the optical drive bay and used the optical drive cables to connect them.
I had to take out one of the 250gb drives because I only can use 3 bay`s now. So in total I hve now 3,5GB internal storage.
Plus several USB drives.

All that cost me less than $450us.
I think that was a good deal and I love how it performs now on 10.10.5.

Hello, I'm a day late and a dollar short.

I originally joined to get help with Windows 10 on my 2010 MacBook.

Anyways, I like Macs... obviously since I'm on here. But yeah.. might as well say a few things. I've come to Macrumors many times through some threads for help on some projects.

Don't know what to talk about, so I'll talk about my main machines...
But yeah, while I have a mid tier Mac Mini and a nice gaming PC that I built, my 2010 MacBook is my main machine. I've customized it, and replaced SSDs a couple of times (just for more storage) and pretty much, if I need a boot drive (such as an OS X Snow Leopard install DVD) it's all done on this laptop.

This is my first time here. Signed up and kinda figured I might be on wrong site. All the newbie posts looked old. Maybe someone can tell me what SITE I should seek out. RE: email with Apple Logo at top.
has anyone received an email with info like this?: IS just deleting it enough?
APPLE logo at top .......title was ServApple from Cionline? stating I was in Breach of Section 10.6 Information about you... had a place to click or my account will be blocked.
I Have never received anything like this before. I have had my Mac desktop since 2010. I have iphone, laptop, ipad They used my email. I was thinking I should send to Apple.... but deleted it when I could not find out where
I could send it.
Just thought a BLOG place where Apple users discussed everything..about Apple products problems and more.

You're just a young whippersnapper when it comes to computers, for I remember working on DOS 1.0 and some very obscure Operating Systems that were out there at the time. :D

Hy @All:

I joined today after reading here since about 2011. My name is Flurin Amsler (born 1986) and I'm living near Basel in Switzerland. I'm married but we don't have any children.

My first contact to the Apple world started about 2004 with my iPod 4th generation (non color display) with 20GB of storage. Then I changed to the 5th generation iPod U2 Edition with 30GB. 2009 I bought my first iPhone 3Gs with 15GB of storage. About 2010 we got a used iPad 3rd Generation with 16GB of storage as a gift.
Today I'm using a space grey iPhone 5s 32GB and sharing a silver iPad Air 2 (64GB of storage) with my wife. There is also a Apple TV 3 connected to our 40" TV.
We both are using laptops with windows 10 (please don't hit me) ;)

One of my other hobby is listening to music. I own more than 500 records and a pretty good HiFi system. If you want to know what kind of music I'm listening to you will get here https://www.musik-sammler.de/sammlung/flu/ an idea.
I think that's all. If you have any questions just ask! :)

Cheers! :)

Hello,

I'm a brand new iMac user!!! And a big time switcher/new adopter!! Although I've had an iPad original and now a iPad 4, for a while. To be honest the whole Win 10 thing kept blue screening my latest HP and I just got sick of it and updates in general. I've used PC's since 1986 (DOS!!), and had a lot of fun and learned a lot.

A week ago the silent security update that shutdown the ethernet port had me fairly PO'ed, especially after thinking the Apple iMac would be fairly problem free. I found an answer here at MacRumors, before support seemed to have a clue, at least the folks I talked to. Can't say they are all bad though. So, in the future, I'll look here first.

Basically, I love the machine, fast, pretty, powerful. And I even learned how to get a "right click" menu!!! LOLOLO! (some habits die hard).

I have the 21.5" 4k retina with the 2tb SATA drive, 8GB ram. I'm set up with a windstream 25mb dsl. I have two seagate centrals, 3tb, that I run my time machine backups to.

Happy to be here!!
Mark
