Happy New Year and good evening from the UK. I'm an IT Infrastructure Manager who's started using Mac's as a break from Windows. Currently restoring a Mac Pro 4,1 after bringing a 2010 MacBook Pro back from the brink! Looking forward to joining the community!

Hello to everyone

Hi planet people, my question is : is Bis Sur compatible with Final Draft and Pro Tools first?

sorry..I meant Mac OS Big Sur
Final Draft supports macOS 11 and M1 (under Rosetta).
Pro Tools will support with macOS 11 soon, and M1 sometime next year.

Hi everyone,
I just joined and am awaiting my MAC mini that I ordered. M1 mini is replacing the aging Windows box sitting on my desk. I'm not new to the Apple world but asside from iPhones it's been a while. I replaced my 2009 MacbookPro with a Windows machine because it wasn't cutting it for my video editing needs, but the new M1 drew me back. I've been in the tech industry for many years and I think Intel and AMD have to be worried about what apple has come up with with this new line of processors, they are truly brilliant.

The M1 is truly a breakthrough device for Apple. I have enjoyed my M1 every day. May you have the same kind of experience and welcome aboard.

Dear gentlemen, I am new to the Mac world and I start by requesting help that I hope they will give me, my intention is to learn from the people of this website on a daily basis, I also comment that my English is very bad so I have to use the google translator , I hope you know how to forgive me and have a little patience

A greeting ...

Hello everybody, I have just discovered this excellent forum and am pleased to have joined it. I am relatively new to Apple products but have become a fan very quickly. I just love the way all the devices integrate together. I am 55 from Cornwall UK and am here to learn.

Hello everyone. I am typing this from my Windows machine I built over 12 years ago. I decided it was time to update when I saw the the benchmarks on the new M1 Mini. I ordered a 16G 1/2T Mini which should arrive on January 29. I have been lurking around the forum for years in the iOS section. I am looking forward leaving the world of Windows after spending nearly 30 years there.

Cheers!

That's awesome! I'm waiting for mine also, I'm being told by Adorama that it's being drop shipped from Apple third week of January. I'm using my Windows box with a dying storage hard drive, and a power supply on its last legs at the moment. I had an old Desk lamp G4 Mac and a 2009 MacBook Pro that I rebuilt in the past. I got the MacBook for free because it was so abused by my nephew. He swore up and down to his mother that he did not pour a coke in the keyboard. He actually dented the aluminum case and cracked the screen also. Good thing I was once an electronics Technician. :D

Been a MAC user for 20+ years. I have a MacBook Pro (2016) running High Sierra, iPAD AIr, iPhone 8, and iPod Touch 5th gen. My interest (currently) is the DJAY Apps, and what they offer.

Hello, I've been lurking around here for a long time, & it seems that it would be a good messageboard to register & chat with all Apple fans.

I'm thinking about going from an Samsung Galaxy S8 to an Apple iPhone 13 Pro or an iPhone 13 Pro Max as my first Apple iPhone.

It's very nice to meet all of you!

Hey there, been using this forum for ages now and thought it might be time to join. I'm a "kind-of collector" of Apple stuff and this journey started when I was 10(?) with an iBook G3 snowhite.
you'll find me in the vintage section or in the rumors :p

Love using my MacBooks and just bought a MacBook Air M1 with all the trimmings intending using it for work.
Struggled to set up with Windows etc. but, with the good old internet, I am on development groups for Parallels and Windows 10.
Set-up is now sorted but my camera has now stopped working:mad:. More digging around to do but I've a feeling it is an issue meaning that I need to return my MacBook.
