Welcome, welcome to this beautiful and sunny frosty day. I'm just sitting in bed eating my favorite snacks. I am browsing Netflix in search of a new series that will take up a lot of my free time. Besides, I miss concerts, I would love to jump to good music among cool, colorful people

Hiya all, I've been lurking here for as long as I have been using Macs. Probably around 10+ years now. I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and I just received the delivery of a brand new Mac Mini M1. 😃 My first ever Mac Mini and first new Mac in 7 years. Last was a MBPR 15" Late 2013.

Hello, having had Window computers for many years the Mac is such relief. But I find doing anything out of the ordinary with it very hard and explamations on the Internet by experts not always very clear. Often too nerdy. So I hope to find a bit more guidance on this site

Don't be afraid to jump in the forums and ask for help. There are a lot of good people on the forum that take the time to help. Let everyone know you are new to Macs and need everything spelled out in a clear and concise manner for a beginner. :)

Long time caller, first time listener. I have been all over “google earth” trying to find ways for me to get my NewWorld G4’s and G5 running supported up to date OS since someone decided they weren’t worth anything anymore. Well guess what?!?!? This site and the threads addressing PowerPC and Linux finally contained the files I needed to get them up and running.

This will be a bit of a test... Another of these threads started with good intentions... but was soon taken over by regulars.

if you just joined MacRumors, reply and introduce yourself.

This is only for new Macrumors users... only users who registered within two months of the current date may reply...

All other users posts will be deleted. (moderators, please enforce this). This will be for myself included... only comments by truely "new" users will be allowed in this thread.

Discuss away...

(this could fail miserably if no one replies :) )

Ay up. Hoping everyone is well. I received my 12 Pro Max on Thursday. My previous iPhone was the 4, I think. I’ve had every Samsung Galaxy Note since then. I just fancied a change.

It is a bit of a learning curve. Some things are really awkward on the iPhone and the lack of some basic functions is really odd to me. I’m sure I’ll pick up the OS fairly quickly. Anyway, here for guidance and a blether.

Hi all,

I've been working as a mobile software developer for about 8 years now. I've worked on iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows 10 Mobile. Nowadays, my main focus is iOS and Android (for obvious reasons 😉).

I've come to realize that to build better apps, I need to talk to the actual users of Android. Talking to other developers only helps to a certain extent because we are wired to think a certain way. Sometimes we miss what the user's needs really are when building an app.

Anyway, I hope to have more conversations with this community in the future. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hello, looking to gain knowledge from anyone who is willing to help. I'm always looking for tips, reviews, on personal experience with anything related to Mac O/S & hardware. Looking to the future on refreshing a new mac as my present is 2008 MacPro 17".

Thought why not register here to in case I got questions or want to get advice from other people in the world of apple products. I do find news feeds here interesting to read. Hello! been a reader of macrumors since 2010 but never get to be a member until now. i joined because of the current big sur issue with the backup to time machine (time capsule) that is causing me countless times of kernel panics. i managed to stop the kernel panic once i turned off the auto backup function on time machine. last update was January 31.

desperately need help and solution to this 😭 or anyone encountered the same issue i have?
