My OP6 arrived today. So far, so good! The phone is fast and fluid and I love the touches and customizations that OxygenOS adds to stock Android. This is definitely the best OP device yet. Camera needs to be tested more, though...

Also, @nviz22 , Automatic DND is included if you do the steps I outlined before in this thread by utilizing Nova Activities. It's really easy to do. I'll even post a "How To" for you.

Screenshots for setting up automatic rules:

-Install Nova launcher and use at least once (you can still have the stock OnePlus Launcher as a Default)
-From stock launcher (or Nova Launcher), long press the home screen and bring up the options to add a widget.
-Once you select "Widgets", scroll down until you see "Nova Activities" (photo 1)
-Long press and drag "Nova Activities" to your home screen (like you would any widget)
-Then you get a box that allows you to select the activities (photo 2)
-Scroll down to "Settings"
-Expand "Settings" and scroll till you see "Do not Disturb" (photo 2)
-Select "Do Not Disturb" (the first option) and it'll place an icon on your screen (photo 3)
-Now you have a short cut to the automatic rules for DND (place out of the way on another page if you like)
-Click the icon (shortcut) and you'll see 'Automatic Rules" (photo 4)
-Click Automatic Rules and set your DND rule! (photo 5)

Thanks. OnePlus is about to release a new update to that includes DND scheduling. If I cannot find the right screen protector for my Note 8, I may go ahead and buy the OP6 instead.

I'm probably get a one plus 6 and sell my s8 and s3 combo. I like the size alot and it looks good to type on and that's one of my biggest issue.

I have a bunch of wireless chargers in the house and idk what to do with them.

I'm not gonna take a year to decide on a phone, it's not that serious.

Few questions for early adopters.

How’s the camera working out speed and quality? speed is great, quality is to be determined. I took several photos yesterday, most came out great but a few were definitely not good. I haven't put it through a lot of testing yet, so the jury is still out for me.

How’s the fluidity of the OS? iPhone / Pixel fast or some hiccups? for me, the phone is iPhone or Pixel fast. I haven't had any hiccups and everything absolutely flies. No lag or stutters or anything. I'm coming from a P2XL and a S9 which both IMO are incredibly smooth and fast. OP6 seems to be just as good as these 2 for me.

see in quotes in red.

I'm not a photographer, and I have 0 (ZERO!) photo skills. And I really don't care about camera on my phone at all. If I can take pics of my kids, and they look good, that is an excellent camera for me. I'm only writing this so that anyone who reads my post can know that they don't take my camera experience with OP6 like from a guy who likes photos, and can take a excellent photo even with iPhone 4s. I can't. And I'm not interested :)

But with all that said, daily photos with OP6 are really great. Comparing them to iPX photos, it's really hard to find any difference. At least to my layman eyes :)

Night photos first seemed to me to be the same as well. But, if there is very little light in the room (nigh clubs for example), well, even I can tell that iPX has a better camera. And I take every photo with auto mode. Point 'n' shoot. Nothing more to it from me.

Is it a bad camera? Absolutely not!
Is it mediocre? Nope.
Great? Probably.
Flagship killer camera (iP, Pixel, S/Note, etc.)? I don't think so.

So there is a quick glance at camera from a complete camera noob, and from a guy who isn't interested in photos at all. So if you are average camera user, like taking pics of your kids, or pets... Well, this camera is probably as good as any. But looking for something great like Google Pixel XL 2, or P20Pro, I highly doubt that you need to purchase OP6. Actually, skip OP6 and purchase already mentioned phones.

I will write my review in 2-3-4 weeks, after I have some more time with this phone. And I will post some pics as well.

OnePkus cut corners with the screen, the camera, waterproofing, speakers and wireless charging. People simply can't expect the best specs across the board but OnePlus do deliver what people mainly want eg flagship speed at a very low price.

If folk are grumbling about LCD screens and not having a class leading camera at these prices then they need to get real.

At least the OP 6 screen is AMOLED and is actually quite good, IMO. I've had the P2XL and Galaxy S9 and I have absolutely no qualms with the OP6 screen. It's quite pleasant to look at.

Cut corners on the screen? Is it the best in market? Of course not. But it is great screen. I live in a country with a lot of sunshine. OP6 screen is great outdoors, and they are using AMOLED after all. Not 2k, but I will take speed and batter life over 2k any day in the week.

Camera is really good. For it to be great they probably need to optimise their software. And that isn't an easy task. So if they are cutting corners there, it would have to be on hardware department (sensors). Are they? I really have no idea what camera they are using, and what others are using, so I really can't tell.

OP6 is waterproof enough. No one takes their phone into sea and takes pictures. At least I know of nobody that does that. Tests prove that it can take some accidental beer spills and stuff like that. Enough for most, and me. But I do agree, I would like it even more if it had IP rating. No questions about that.

Now the thing about speakers is true... Speaker is loud. And the sound isn't bad. At all. But that's about it. And that is everything but not a compliment to OP. And a mono speaker simply can't compare to stereo, even on a phone. If I take iPX to watch a youtube video, I don't have to watch where I position my hands. Sound is crisp, and really hard to block.

But then again, even Samsung used just bottom firing speaker until S9 if I'm not mistaken. So hopefully with OP7 they will include those as well. And this is still my biggest complaint about OP phones, since I use my phones in the morning to watch some youtube while drinking coffee :)

But with all that said, OP6 also brings something to the table. Fastest charing ever, without rapidly degrading battery health. And this is a big fat + in my book. And most importantly, the speed and fluidity... Well, no other phone comes even close. Not even Pixel, since OP6 can hold in memory a lot more apps, so those don't have to be reloaded. Not even after a few days.

If you are someone like me, who cares mostly about premium build and feel, and about speed of the device, OP6 is the way to go. If you care more about camera and some other features (like wireless charging), well, then OP6 simply isn't for you. Easy choice really :)

Seeing all these notches + chin design phones coming out lately, when compared to the OP6, the OP6 seems to get the chin thinnest and overall nicest. Even the notch is pretty small.

For an Android notch phone, the OP6 is definitely the least offensive.

I'm thinking about picking this phone up to go along with my iPhone X so I was doing some research. I knew this phone was big but it's huge compared the to the X.

I'm waiting for the white OnePlus 6 to come out, but it looks like they really hit it out of the park with the 6, especially for the price. Just an FYI for anyone looking to get one, you can get $20 off accessories with my referral link.

I may use your link to get a dash charger for the car. Do you know if it's $20 off no matter what or do you have to spend over a certain amount first?

Unfortunately I think it only applies if you buy a phone :( I just found that out, but if you were going to get one then it's still worthwhile

I bought a OP 6 and your link says it's for accessories. I'd just like to save $$ on a Dash Charger for my car. I hate that OP doesn't use standards like QC or USB PD.

Wow, I love that. My ipX is way way too small. Still bummed you can't get this on Verizon.
CDMA is a no no on Verizon and Sprint, hopefully next year when Sprint and TMobile merger will get some thing going for One plus, Xiaomi and Huawei phones.
