I need to read more details, so T-Mobile will give me $300 as a trade in for my 5 year old OnePlus One ? Which on Craigslist sells for like less than $100 and only in mint condition, mines in ok condition at best.

It says you get $300 off for trading in ANY of the phones on the list they had on screen. Not Up to $300. It was already confirmed on SlickDeals to be 24 bill credits. And to trade in the device must meet the same conditions as usual, turn on, and not have cracked screen (or be severely damaged).

Basically, this is OP6 with smaller notch and in screen FP. As expected.
But this time around I'm not impressed. I really need stereo speakers, since I love to watch some youtube videos in the morning while drinking my coffee. I will wait for OP7 this time around. First OP device that I will skip.

But for others who don't own OP6, this will probably be the beast of the phone. OP6 is. But I really dig the design. Looks great :)

I’ll buy mine unlocked. T-Mobile is nonexistent here. I’m more worried about this thing having a true always on display since there will be no LED light.

looking like a nice phone. i wonder how much tmobile will pay for LG V20 trade in.

$300 trade in promotion via T-Mobile, which basically includes every single One+ device released. That's one hell of a deal IMO.
I have still have oneplus one in ok condition. This is one of heck of a deal.

the V20 gets the $300 as well... remember, it's monthly bill credits for 24-months which is pretty lame IMO

Can anyone confirm if the One+ 6T will lack the CDMA radio for Verizon? I would think that if Verizon sells it, it would have all the required transceivers to work on the entire network??? But I can’t find anything that shows it is CDMA capable to run on 2G/3G/HSPA+ when not connected to 4G/LTE signals.

I have read over on howardsforums that Verizon will be shutting down its CDMA network at the end of 2019. In fact, Verizon is no longer activating devices that do not have VoLTE capability.

I think LG has already released a VoLTE only device that works on Verizon's network.

LTE only (5:06 mark)

Good idea ... No way I trade ineOneP 6 256GB for 300 maybe if had 64GB...

Just keep in mind a few of the drawbacks to the 6T. Still worth it in my opinion but there are some downsides:

1. No IP rating for water resistance
2. No wireless charging
3. No LED notification light
4. No headphone jack
5. In display FP sensor is a big question mark (MKBHD said it's slower than other FP readers)
6. No stereo speakers
7. Still USB 2.0

That said, I'll be ordering a 8/128 in Midnight Black because for the price ($579) it's well worth it.

Will check this out on Nov 1. Maybe give it a test run with tmobile and if it does not work out then I will just have to eat the restock fee.

I had the OP 6 for a few months and quite enjoyed my experience with it. The phone just flat out flies no matter what you do with it. I never once had a single hiccup, frame rate drop, etc. And I love the customizations that OxygenOS let you do without it being bloated and heavy weighted. That said, my biggest 2 complaints was the speaker and the haptic feedback. Definitely places they cut corners. But not big enough deals to warrant not taking a look at the phone. I'm just spoiled with the Note 9 / iPhone Xs Max stereo speakers ;)

I'm disappointed that there's no similar offer in the UK (and I'm sure other non-US customers will be too) but I guess this is a T-Mobile USA offer and not directly from OnePlus. Otherwise that would have been a killer deal.

Finally got a chance to look at the thing a bit, it's a pleasant surprise for Verizon and TMobile support, definitely looks like OnePlus is going to try and nab some disappointed pixel users.

I like what they did with the notch, one of the more thoughtful designs and a good differentiator from the other whack cookie cutter notches just to follow suit.

I think the device was the last of the "major" handset releases this year right?

I'm likely going to pass on the thing however. My 6 is operating as a WiFi backup tablet when my Pixel XL 2 is being charged.

Also, no Always On Display. This is a big no-no after removing the LED light.

I've noticed that they don't sell the Midnight Black version in 6GB/128GB like they do with the Mirror Black.

This means that we need to pay an extra £30 just to get the Midnight Black (albeit with 8GB ram)?

Yes. Just has to be in working order and no cracked screen

Also, we only sell the 8gb/128gb model. No other variants available. $580 at $24 per month. If you trade in an eligible device for the $300 it's only $11 per month

Couldn't agree more. Front facing speaker + (especially) lousy haptic feedback are also my biggest complaints about ANY OnePlus phones. Those are the places where they really skip corners.

For me, neither one of those things matter. I have my Galaxy Watch for haptic feedback on notifications and I don't care about speakers on a phone. But for the price, I think these are 2 tradeoffs people can live with.

Actually, it will work completely on all Verizon bands, including CDMA 2G/3G freqs.

Isn't the ip rating, or lack of, due more to them not paying for the rating to keep the device cheaper?
It might actually be water resistant maybe?
I heard it would add $30 per device to have the rating added.

Pretty impressive.

Yet another design the Pixel 3 should've been...

Missing wireless charging is no big deal.

Glad they got rid of the headphone jack...market needs to encourage more development of practical/quality wireless earbuds to compete with the Airpods.

All in all, a great mid-tier device.

The big hint will be if there's some rubber gasket on its SIM slot. If there aren't any, then it is not water resistant/proof whatsoever.

I hope they don't allow the merger. They didn't allow it with AT&T. The fewer major carriers we have, the higher the prices will go.

It’d be much better for Sprint to just fail and have the spectrum be bought up by either ATT or Verizon, right? Because it isn’t competitive right now, and it likely won’t be competitive in the future.

thanks for the replies yeah I'm not really a big camera guy either on the phone I think it's silly how people go crazy over cameras on smartphones and spend all these this with you time on the camera like who ****ing cares it's a phone number one buy a nice camera if you're really into photography.

By far my number one deciding factor in a phone is the operating system is it smooth zero lag does it perform fantastic?

My second thing I look for in a smartphone as battery life not necessarily the largest battery but does it have long battery life minimum to get 6 hours screen on time

3rd and probably be the display I want a bright display Ana colorful display that's important

and I suppose fourth would be the camera as long as it's pretty good and the top 5 cameras a phones at your ad be happy

I’d argue it’s a miniature computer number one, which means the screen is the most important thing. Do most people even make calls anymore?

@ 3:27 ;)

But no gasket @ 3:35, unless it's in the frame??

Cool vid by the way, love the insight into their manufacturing methods.
