The 6t is looking to be quite the power house of Android phones. Probably the best performing Android phone of 2018.

But with OnePlus a few things always concerns me.

- Display ? Will it be close as good as the Pixel 3 XL or iPhone XS Max screens ? Will it be bright enough

- IP rating ?

- Camera ? I'm not expecting Pixel 3 good, but where will it fall in for smartphone cameras this year?
The screen on the OnePlus 6 was gorgeous, I can imagine the 6T will be as well.

OnePlus is in a very good spot right now. They have a near stock Android experience running on their phones. They are consistent with updates and patches. With all the issues on the Pixel 3 the 6T is positioned to deliver where Google could not. They are getting US carriers (T-Mobile and Verizon) to carry or support their phones.....
All they need to do is deliver a great camera......

Pixel 2 was a mess (lousy screen), Pixel 3 is a joke.
But in all honesty, I really doubt OP6T will be the camera phone. OP6 has very good camera, one of the best. But that camera can't compete with iPhone/Pixel/Samsung. Great camera indeed, but not one of the best.

Anyone expecting they can change that in 6 months is being really optimistic. Will it be better? Probably. But the funny part is, OP usually doesn't have great camera at launch. OP5 had worse camera then OP3T, after 2-3 updates it was better. Same thing with OP5T and OP6. I'm expecting the same thing to happen with 6T.

It's funny that OP makes the same mistake year after year. Yeah, they fix that camera, and they really put a lot of effort into that fixing. But reviews are already out, and the camera has already been judged. No fixing can help that.

But anyone can install port of gcam on OP phones, and get almost Pixel like camera without a fuss.

First you said it’s a great camera and one of the best and then you follow that up by saying it’s not one of the best, which is it lol

BBK in their native language loosely translates 'one step ahead'. It is diversification, Yum brand owns Pepsi, KFC and so on. Toyota owns Lexus.
so what is the problem?

My Problem is the horrible after sales for OnePlus that we have in India. Burnt my fingers with the Op3 for a brief moment and promised myself to never give my money to these lousy Chinese Brands. I would rather be a Samsung Slave than the crappy Trios.

I'll wait for OnePlus to bring on wireless charging and waterproofing. Bump up the price, I don't mind.

Maybe in the 7 next year.

My dream would be if they started diversifying their line up and bring on a OnePlus 7 Mini or something. Same specs as the bigger option, just smaller screen, battery, and overall size.

Can anyone confirm if the One+ 6T will lack the CDMA radio for Verizon? I would think that if Verizon sells it, it would have all the required transceivers to work on the entire network??? But I can’t find anything that shows it is CDMA capable to run on 2G/3G/HSPA+ when not connected to 4G/LTE signals.

$300 trade in promotion via T-Mobile, which basically includes every single One+ device released. That's one hell of a deal IMO.

Guess I'm going to have some vids to watch a bit later after work :)

Any word on Sprint bands? I'm kinda doubting it...

So does T-Mobile have this promotion ? I have an old OnePlus One, if I trade that in to T-Mobile, I'll get the full $300 discount ? If so, I'm all over that deal. But it probably won't allow me to buy the phone for $249 outright then, maybe just super cheap monthly payments for 24 months ?

Most likely will be credits over 24 months but it appears you'd get $300. Tmobile just doesn't do straight money off deals anymore since they are back to being a carrier.

I need to read more details, so T-Mobile will give me $300 as a trade in for my 5 year old OnePlus One ? Which on Craigslist sells for like less than $100 and only in mint condition, mines in ok condition at best.
