The OnePlus 3 is a great buy for 400€, but at the end the price is no factor for me. I want the best
Hardware you can get in a phone and in this point the OnePlus 3 can only reach this in the ram department. It's no flagship killer, it's the best deal for 400€. I am still waiting for the note 7 to replace my s7 edge

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to support wifi calling. That's the one thing I have to have.

Oh well, I'll wait for the next Nexus then.

I'll likely hold off till the nexus. I know if I'm waiting for Android N as long as OP2 customers have had to wait for MM I think I'll drive myself mad, so probably best to wait this one out.

Now if I see one going cheap though ;)

Agreed. I'd be the same.

The Nexus 6p isnt cutting it so far in battery life. Beyond that, it's an amazing phone.

I never get good battery life though.

The one thing I like about phones like the OP3 and their low initial price, is that they tend to not lose much value. You can use one for a few months until the Nexus comes out and most likely turn around and sell it for $300 or a little less. Which is pretty much my plan.

The S7 edge, only a few months after release, is down to $500 in some resale markets. Which is $300 off retail. So while you get more money back with the Sammy, you lose more off of what you paid for it initially.

Phone is alright but not sure if it worth 400 with the slow updates, bugs, and mediocre camera.

Yeah this is very true . I paid €749 for my S7 Edge, and I'll be lucky to get €450 when I come to sell / trade it in.

Stop tempting me :) ....

Haha. Yup! I ordered one with the $20 extended warranty and a case and paid $440. I bought my 6s Plus outright and paid close to $1k. It is the 128gb version with AppleCare +. But I'll be lucky to sell it for $750. So I lose $250 after a few months worth of use. But I'll also make some coin after selling my iPhone and picking up the OP3. And I figure I can use it for a bit and turn around and sell it to get one of the fall phones and not be out a ton of money.

Maybe updates will come faster but the jury is out on everything else at this point as far as quality. Reviews seem pretty darn good, our mileage may vary.

BUT $400 for this smartphone is well worth it. I don't recall others that have started out at this price point with great hardware and features at release. And the earlier Oneplus offerings pale in comparison so I understand a price bump.

The Camera is worse than every Flagship this year (HTC 10, LG G5, Huawei P9, S7). This is no wonder with a f/2.0 Aperture and a 1.12µm pixel size.

Does the 6p support wifi calling on TMo? It doesn't on AT&T, one of the reasons I switched back to the iPhone.

I think I read ATT is finally pushing wifi calling to certain android phones. LG G4 is first on the list, but that is att branded. We shall see if they go for nexus

quick google shows ATT does not support volte on unbranded phones like nexus - afaik verizon does. ATT is such a *****

as more unlocked phones become gsm/cdma compatible, verizon is actually becoming more pro-user than ATT

Want versus need. We are smartphone JUNKIES.
Ignore him and enjoy! :D

OnePlus have done a great job here, bringing some flagship specs at such a good price.

A part of me doubts it will support Google Daydream, camera seems to be average and lack of MicroSD slot has put me off, but I think for many this will make for a great smartphone for a few years. :)

Well if I were to buy an Android phone today this would definitely be the one. I love the no nonsense design, fingerprint reader on the front is a must for me, and the hardware back button solution where you can choose which side it goes on is brilliant (don't like onscreen buttons + the back button goes on the right of course ;)). Dual SIM is awesome too. I have to say they really nailed it with this one. And since they dropped the invites system I don't have to hate OnePlus on principle anymore...

And damn that price is attractive. Someone stop me, I really need to avoid unnecessary spending right now... :(

Speed test against the s7 edge.

Hm, looks like those 6 gb of RAM aren't being used very well...

WTF !!!!!!

Why is it reloading apps ??? It should in no way need to reload any of those with 6gb which must mean oxygen OS is typically OP buggy..

But listen to the end remark ... With a mixture of apps the ram management wasn't as impressive and they too suggest software at fault ...

Here's where it will get interesting. How long will it take OP to correct this software issue ?
