I just ordered the black onyx version. White/Champagne not available. Also ordered the Red silicone apple, sorry oneplus case ;)

€300 for phone & case + shipping

Is the white/champagne going to available anywhere else besides China? They didn't mention it at all on the release page or product site.

Well it was on the euro store but showed up simply as out of stock so I assume it will be eventually available everywhere but stock will likely be very constrained and given this is OnePlus it wouldn't surprise me if they withdrew the colour option at a later date.

Could it be that they tested UK / Euro device. Mit would explain why they arent launching in USA for another couple of weeks ?

could be indeed. I found it strange that in the article droid life reached out for comments on the bands and one plus stated the bands are indeed correct and they have no plans to add more. If there was a us variant you would think they'd mention it.

It could be that they just dont care about the US market.

I don't get the hubbub over the "missing" bands. The iPhone 6 and a huge slew of other phones released earlier don't support band 12, and HSPA+ is plenty fast for most cases. Besides, T-Mobile hasn't even rolled out Band 12 in my area.

Seems like it doesn't record 4K video, a must for me. It's a shame. It's a great phone otherwise.

$249 for a metal & glass smartphone & 3gb ram + expandable storage = compromise in other areas.

It definitely should be capable of 4K capture though; so it's possible it could be added later or be enabled with a different camera software. I'll test it out when I get mine.

Mine just left Shenzen so I expect it'll be here Tuesday. Was hoping they might have stockpiled some in Europe but not to be.

As for 4K, I'm not that fussed as I rarely record in it although the option would be nice of course. That said, this is not a flagship so we shouldn't be comparing it to one or be surprised that it doesn't have bleeding edge everything.

Mines showing as processing. Yeah I'm surprised no stockpile in Europe, I'll let you know where mine ships from - it'll be interesting to see.

Just noticed eGlobalCentral have the White / Champagne Gold model so why OnePlus didn't ?

More OnePlus mystery.

Yeah I think they've gone White for the Chinese launch and Black for Europe up to now
(http://www.oneplus.cn/product/oneplusx) so I guess that's why eGlobal have white and only white.

Interesting to see the 2gb model for ~£150 and 3gb ~£160 for China and that they're again doing weekly flash sales to manage production and demand. I have a Chinese OnePlus account and the black is not available at all whereas white shows a countdown timer.

Not sure about the smaller size over there as phablets and beyond were the trend and not many I know want to downsize. Still, some will like it and the design/build/price should help somewhat.

I've decided to skip the Oneplus X as it's too similar to my Oneplus One aside from the size and design. I'm really hoping they do a new version next year with a fingerprint reader (and hopefully no SD810).

I'm interested to read how the X fares for battery life and the areas where the One is kinda crap: vibration motor in the one is complete **** (much better in Two apparently) and the capacitive buttons require you to hit the symbol pretty exactly, it's not like my Galaxy S4 where there's a big area for the buttons so you don't need to be very accurate.

The one thing I do love on the One is the sandstone back cover. It provides the perfect amount of grip to keep the phone from falling out of your hands.

OnePlus X v OnePlus 2
3gb v 4gb
Quadcore 801 v Octocore 810

Which do you think is faster ?

That OP2 is shocking. I don't remember feeling mine was sluggish at all but it's another nail in the coffin of the ill-fated 810.

Yep I think it shows throttling v non throttling between chips in how it affects end usage.

Ah yep just watched again and the OP2 is in the red on battery - which I think is a bit misleading for viewers as it throttles down a lot when it hits the last 20% and below (may have been 15% but can't recall exactly). In effect it's the power saver mode on other devices which explains the big performance drop.

If it's an OS thing then I'd expect the OPX to also drop performance notably in the red zone but that battery was plenty charged in the test.

The OP2 does throttle under load for sure - about 56k Antutu down to 42k from memory - but I think that video is not truly reflective on the basis of the 2 being on a depleted charge.

Been checking this out today. Looks like a great phone.
To me, it's the perfect Android experience. Nexus looks nice but I'm not crazy on the design of it. I had a play with a mates One Plus One last week and liked it but didn't love it.

The X looks like a really well built device and I like the accessories you can get with them.

Id be tempted if I was in the market for a new Android device!

I'm still 'processing' !!! I suspect that some European orders are having delays so that bulk delivery to a UK/European Hub where they will be despatched from there.

Ordered mine Yesterday (From Spain). Already paid, in Pending Shipment, waiting forward to recieve it next Monday (I guess).

I'm going from my i6S+ 128Gb to the OnePlus X, because I'm tired of iOS, iPhone and Apple in general. Let's see how it goes :D

AGHHH !! That's a joke. I was one of first to order ! Bloody one plus !

OnePlus is knowing you I guess...
They know you own at least 3 smartphones, so your order isn't that urgent

Serious: I hope you will get yours soon, looking forward to read your words about it

Mine arrived today. 3 days is as good as I could expect from China.

Currently setting up (Oxygen OS update out of the box) and will get some low light camera shots later... an unfair comparison vs iPhone 6s.

Initial impressions are all about the build. Really beautiful for this money.

I am cautiously optimistic on the OnePlus Three next year, and I would like to see this;

- Build quality matching the new OnePlus X, with the flat back
- AMOLED QuadHD display
- SD820 Processor
- 4GB RAM
- Running off Android 6.0 base

If OnePlus can make the OnePlus Three with those above spec's, which is expected for a 2016 smartphone, it could be killer. Even if they up the price over $400.

To me the biggest knock on the One and Two is poor display, they need to get in on the Samsung displays, even if it's the old Note 4 display, which is still killer compared to the bad LCD on the original OPO's.
