@prefuse07 Only via a DSDT patch, which worked just fine in the end. I have ultimately downsized now and gotten an M1 Pro MacBook Pro which I find equally as powerful for my needs, though I do need to run a displaylink dock to get 3rd display up and running. I would have to say the MacPro7,1 was probably the best computer I have ever owned, so I will miss it!

Hi everyone.

I own a Mac Pro 2019 28core and I am currently using the MPX Vega II. However, I just got my AMD RX 6950 XT reference card and I realize that the update/support for the card (although 6900 is supported) can take some time. As I am eager to use my card asap, I am wondering if anyone here can help me (i can pay) to spoof the ID using open-core, tricking my mac to think it's a 6900 XT for the time being. I have absolutely no experience with this, but hopefully, some kind soul knows how to help me out :)

I also have some issues with the 6950 XT in BootCamp with the MPX installed (it's fine when MPX is out). But perhaps spoofing in Mac OS will solve this as well, I dunno.

- Is there someone who can help me?
- Does anyone know when Apple will add support for 6950 X? I presume it's coming?

Have a great day :) !

Any Monterey version. What seems to be the problem?
RX 6950XT (73A5) and RX 6650XT (73EF) have different device-ids from RX 6900XT/6600XT that are not listed inside the frame buffer kext (at least 12.4 final don't have it yet, did not check 12.5 beta yet).

Oh my mistake I thought it was 6900xt. Anyway SSDT spoofing device id of 6900xt should do. I can try creating one but I need the ioregistry backup.

I can see the beta came out yesterday. hopefully, someone will check if the device id is in that version :)

Can you please create a backup with
And download Hackintool. In the PCIE tab click export and attach the 4 files created on the desktop.
Hi mate,

I did download IO explorer and made a backup. However, I don't have much success with Hackintool, as I don't know where to start :) Thank you though.

Strange the 6950 XT is not even detected in the registry. Are the fans spinning? Can you attach a display to it?
Make a screenshot like this:

It could be this one. I'm quite sure my MPX is slot 1+2 and then the 69502 XT is just above that in slot 3

Ok We need to spoof to this device-id:

Here the process is described in details:
You may need to obtain first path in Bootcamp as described here (58th second of the video):

Here is your OpenCore EFI (no mods yet).
