Will this also work on iPad? (just curious since TetherStatus does not)
Give it a try and let us know!
I don't know why it wouldn't, but I haven't tried my iPad yet (don't really need it on there)

Except it is not an official update. It's the update I did for myself a few weeks ago. I've sent 5 emails to the original dev about getting an official update over the last 4 weeks and had no response. I've had so many people asking for a fix, so I thought I'd put my version up there. Unfortunately, in the few hours that it has been up, I've received even more emails with people asking questions about it. I really don't want to have to deal with that, so it has been removed...for now.Today libstatusbar has been updated to version 0.9.8-2 which enables OpenNotifier in AppStore Apps. Thank you tateu![]()

First of all I want to say thank you to tateu for bringing this great tweak to iOS7

I put the deb file back up, at least temporarily, so it can be manually installed. http://www.tateu.net/repo/tmp/libstatusbar_0.9.8-2_iphoneos-arm.deb
Like OpenNotifier, this is an unofficial modification of someone else's software.
Buyer beware...
And the info page about my unofficial version: http://www.tateu.net/repo/html/libstatusbar.htm
Notifications for eBay never seem to work for me. Is anyone else having this problem?
Try "stock for opennotifier". Great icon pack IMO
Was just about to quote your post about that (the one with the image). Thanks for finding that. Works great (and installed samestatus).

Probably. It was never meant to be a release thread, though. I didn't use it back in the iOS 6 days and I was originally just asking how it worked in iOS 6 because the modifications I made to it didn't work the way I expected in iOS 7. Once people caught on that I had a version compiled and "mostly" working for iOS 7, the requests for it came flooding in. Everything spiraled from there.(this thread really should be retitled "OpenNotifier for iOS 7", I saw this thread plenty of times, but ignored it and posted questions in other threads that were answered here)

The issues I had with it turned out to be with libstatusbar, anyway.
Right now, since it's just available as a deb file, you have to manually download it and open it in iFile and choose "installer" or install it through some other manual method such as ssh. Now that it's morning, though, I may give loading it on my repo another shot, not sure yet.do we need to install the 0.9.8-2 version and how?

And no, you don't "have" to install it. My version, if it works correctly on your device, provides more functionality than the original version, allowing status bar icons to show up when 3rd party App Store apps are open in the foreground.
This is working on my 5S but will there be a version for the iPad2 or am I missing something? Or just being a newbie?
not sure if this was already mentioned, but not seeing any of the notification icons in the lockscreen. That normal?
did you install tateu's version of opennotifier and libstatus bar from his repo listed on the OP?
yes i did. are you seeing the icons on your lockscreen??
