Just wondering..........you sure it's the iMac shipping and not Applecare, if you purchased it?
Someone else mentioned they were emailed it was shipping and it was just talking about Applecare.
Sweet if your machine is on it's way.....mine is still in a holding pattern.

According to iFixit, after the tearing down the parts it appears everything was soldered. That was base model. I'm just ASSUMING here...because it should be the same with others ini late 2015.
Pat, please take your discussion to be of the dedicated RAM threads. This is for those of us who ordered 27 inch iMacs and to share information about shipping. Which although I ordered first thing Tuesday EST, is not yet preparing for shipment. My credit card is pending (which is good) and it is 8:13am in China, also a good thing assuming the factories are up and assembling soon.
And yes, the 27 inch iMacs have four user accessible RAM slots, two of which contain 4GB removable sodimms of speed 1886 ddr 3l. Visit the ram threads of which there are several for more information.
Gahhh I had a buddy of mine who works in an Apple store get mine for a 15% friends and family discount, I can't check the tracking, only he can through his work e-mail so I have no idea whats going on with mine.
But I did the the overnight before noon option so hopefully mine is getting ready to go.

I will be ordering this one as soon as I get home! I've waited a long time for this, and I'm so excited that Apple updated the 5k today. I was really thinking they wouldn't!

Just curious for those of you who are getting both Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2, have you thought about ordering it separately just to get an extra Lighting cable for free? Either way it's the same price
Correct me if I'm wrong, I think it only comes with 1 Lighting cable in the iMac box?
