It arrived in all its 21 pound glory last week. 4.2GHz i7, 512 flash, 8GB RAM with an extra 8 popped in soon after arrival. This thing is absolutely, positively, gorgeous and amazing. Money well spent. I think I'm in love! :D

May I know what is the brand of the charging dock for the Apple Watch and iPhone? Looks good. :)

Yeah, my AirPods order from weeks ago said it’d be Aug. 1 shipping but it shipped yesterday, due to arrive June 30.

Which i5?

Ordered my 27 inch on June 24th, it's still processing. My shipping window is July 8 - 15.
I ordered the 3.8GHZ i5 with 512 SSD.
My card hasn't been charged yet, but the amount is pending. Hopefully it ships soon!

It seems they're out of stock of 512 SSDs. I ordered mine on June 27th and my order is still processing; the email said the ETA was 1-2 weeks.

If you try to buy now an iMac with 512 SSD, the site gives an ETA of 3-4 weeks.

Ordered the base i5/570/1Tb SSD/8Gb on 6/28, estimated delivery date July 8-12. Thanks to multiple threads here regarding the noise, heat, and unnecessary (for me at least) incremental performance gains of anything higher, I am very comfortable ordering the base model. Initially had my finger on the trigger for a fully maxed out model.

Indeed. The 512 SSD BTO has been in VERY high demand. The 1 TB SSD is shipping quicker. ;)

Agreed. Unless your a Power User you'll be happier with a 65w CPU in there. You're going to smile all day with that SSD. ;)

I ordered mine on June 22nd and it will be available for pickup at the store on July 5th. Ordered the 3.8 i5 with 512GB SSD. Where do these things ship from ? It shipped out 2 days ago and will not be here until the 5th. Seems like a long time but then again I am impatient. :)

My MacBook was shipped direct from Shanghai, and my i7 iMac was shipped from San Jose, California.

I’m in Toronto.

I checked on the i7 with 512 ssd and it's showing August for a delivery date now. Shipping 3-4 weeks. I might have to jump up to the 1tb drive or 3tb fusion drive if the other retailers don't stock the new iMacs soon.

Don't be surprised if your "Ready for Pickup" email arrives prior to your date. Mine came in 3 days prior to the scheduled day. :apple:

That is what I am hoping for. I'm catching a flight on the morning of the 5th and will be out of town for several days. With my luck they will see it just sitting there and sell it....lol. ;)

You get the first email. They send another seven days later. At the 21st day you get 24hrs to get it. If not it goes into auto- refund. It will be in the back on a shelf with your order number. :)

Nice setup. I have a desk with a pull out keyboard that has a depth of about 22". I was wondering what yours was and how its working for you.

Do you mean the depth of the keyboard/mouse pullout area? The surface area of this pullout surface is 28" wide by 13" deep. Plenty of room for full size keyboards and a large mousepad. I've had this desk for a number of years and it has been working well for me. I like having a keyboard pullout area like this because it keeps the desktop surface area open for use with my MBP, papers, and whatnot.

Actually I was asking about the depth of the desk itself. I wanted to know if you felt the screen was too close to you or if the depth of the desk was ok..

Ah, gotcha. The desk itself is 24" deep with the iMac screen about 14" from the front edge. Sitting in my chair the screen is then about two feet from my face. It works fine for me at this distance. I initially had the machine right up to the wall behind it but at that point it just felt too far for me. At its current position everything feels just right, so for you a desk thats almost the same depth as mine should be fine so you can fine tune its position to your liking. :)
