Interesting.

I ordered my MacBook on June 8, and my transaction was initiated and posted on June 13, the day after they shipped it.
I ordered my Core i7 iMac on June 13, and my transaction was initiated and posted on June 21, two days after they shipped it. (Then I returned it.)
I ordered my Core i5 iMac on June 28, and now I have an authorization initiated on June 28, but it's still processing.

Do they do a temp authorization and then wait until it ships, and then redo the transaction, letting the old transaction expire? That is what it seems like they are doing.

In any case I've been checking several times to do to see when it goes from "Processing Items" to "Preparing for Shipment". :p Here's hoping I can get it by the 7th.

Ordered an entry level 27" with 512GB SSD yesterday (June 29th) ... delivery estimate is July 25th to August 1st.

Wow, Apple must be falling behind on orders. I ordered the exact same setup on June 15th and it was delivered on June 27th. It was delivered on the estimated delivery day.

Shipped! Not bad. Ordered on Wed and shipped today, just two days later.

I had the 1 TB SSD, not the much sought after 512 GB sweet spot.

I never even saw it going to Preparing for Shipment. It was just Processing earlier today.

i5-7600 / 1 TB SSD / Radeon 575 / Numeric keyboard / 8 GB

I'm victim to the sweet spot as well:

Ordered a 27" i5 3.5ghz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 575 Graphics, and just standard keyboard/mouse - Order placed June 28th.

Unfortunately, the order is still processing (on Day 3 now) and shipping in 1-2 weeks, delivering by July 13-20th.

I actually already sold my previous iMac 27" from 2011 but was able to grab $600 on it from Craigslist so more than happy to part ways with it. I still have my 2015 13" MBP (i5 2.9, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) that I can use as a desktop for a week or two. I think coming from the 2011 iMac, the wait will be well worth it. I was able to order an additional 16GB of RAM for the iMac, so that will be here and ready to install the second the iMac arrives!

Just ordered the 27" i5 3.5ghz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 575 Graphics and the new numerical keyboard.

Expected delivery is 26/07/2017 - 02/08/2017.

Thank you everyone for helping me make the decision. :)

Ordered June 20th, shipped on the 26th, and my delivery date is the 3rd! Been the longest wait EVER, but so excited!

Excellent! That is the exact configuration I've decided on also. I'll place the order next week. The month or so wait will be fine. My existing iMac is still chugging along and I'll need some time to get the extra RAM from Crucial.

Keep us posted on how you like it!

My CTO 2017 iMac is again coming from San Jose, California. The previous CTO 2017 iMac I ordered also came from San Jose. In contrast, my CTO 2017 MacBook m3 with 16 GB RAM came from Shanghai. I live in Toronto.

Ordered June 28, shipped June 30. Due to arrive July 5.

I ordered a maxed out (well, 512 SSD) 27" iMac on June 30 and the estimate is a full month, July 28 - Aug 4 :(

Such a long lead time for the 512, Apple must have really underestimated the popularity of that drive. Hopefully the long delay isn't actually the case and it's just a conservative estimate. I'm glad I got my 512 iMac soon after I ordered it in the middle of June, I would go nuts having to wait a month if not longer!

Ordered the 2017 27" i5 3.4gHz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 570 Graphics + numeric keyboard & trackpad on June 30.
ETA July 28 - Aug 3 to apple store in California.

Also ordered 16GB (8x2) of Crucial RAM off Amazon (currently out-of-stock, estimated re-stock/delivery mid-late July).

It's going to be a brutal month wait, but my 2013 13" rMBP should hold off fine in the meantime.

I am guessing the positive reviews of the 2017 iMac are contributing to the high demand.

I ordered mine (4.2GHz/512GB SSD/R580 Pro) on June 8th and took delivery just over one week later on June 17th but I just checked and it's 3 to 4 weeks until shipping now here in Japan as well.

The long wait sucks, but I think you'll find it worth it. :)

After a lot of indecision, and lots of reading of these forums, I ended up going for the i5/575 model with 512GB SSD and numeric keypad.

Ordered 29/06, due for delivery 26/07 - 02/08

Same configuration as mine. Let's hope the supply issue will be fixed earlier so we can get hold of the iMac soon. This is very first iMac. :)

Yup, I'm coming from a Early 2011 15" MacBook Pro, so it's been a long time coming! (Have been wanting to upgrade for a little while, and finally got the Price/Specs I was after).

Keep logging on and checking my order to see if the date has changed :p

Ordered June 25th, arrived June 30th
BTO 27" / i7 / 580 / 1TB SSD / 8GB / numpad-KB / trackpad
Me being in Hong Kong has something to do with how fast it was, it is literally next to SZ where they assemble Macs.

Just ordered today: i5 3.8G, 580, 8GB RAM, 1TB SSD.

The delivery date is July 6 to 8.

I think too many people ordered 512GB SSD. So I chose 1TB and the short waiting time.

My shipment is currently stuck in the chinese customs. Tracking says they were unable to load it in the scheduled flight, and on saturday there was a message in the tracking saying customs had unlocked it. But yesterday there was another tracking message saying it is awaiting for the "final unlock".

I hope it's cleared soon. I'm worried because there is no longer a scheduled delivery date (it was 6th June), and because I don't know if they'll open the package and mess with my iMac :(

Bought it Sunday evening. CTO: 4.2Ghz i7 + 3TB Fusion + Trackpad.

I'm having mine shipped to the Apple Store to avoid UPS hijinks. They're quoting July 17th, whereas straight to door was the 8th. I'm hoping it's a conservative estimate and I get an early phone call--pretty sure that's happened to me before with to-store orders.
