Spoke too soon. It's on the truck for delivery! :) Not bad. I ordered on Wednesday, and this weekend was a long weekend. Less than a week from order to delivery. The power of the 1TB SSD...

Too bad I won't be home. I guess I may be driving to the depot tonight...
Well, that was nice of the FedEx guy. They left a notice, which my wife found when she got home.

And then a few hours later, the guy showed up again for a second delivery attempt, the same day. He said he was driving by and noticed a car in the driveway so he decided to try again. Nice one FedEx!

Transferring from my backup now. BTW, SSD backups are great. :D

BTW, Migration Assistant updated iTunes right within its app. I didn't know it could do that. It said that the iTunes I had installed was newer than the one on the new computer so it needed to do an update to maintain compatibility.

Ordered a stock max confit but upgraded the CPU to i7. Says July 13 for me. Going to be a long week
Thanks! Now I'm hungry!

Your user name is "cheezeit" and you used the words "stock" and "confit" in your post, just when I'm getting ready to fire up the grill! (Yes, I know what you meant to write!) ;)

My package was blocked a couple of days in the chinese customs, but UPS has catched up and it will be delivered on the scheduled date (today) :)

It has travelled a lot: China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Germany, and finally Spain.

How long do people usually have it in "preparing for shipment"?
Less than one day for mine. But then I seemed to have been very lucky.

Ordered June 28 and received July 4, only 3 business days later! That was 6 calendar days.

Shipped from California to Toronto, on June 30, two days after order.

7600 / 575 / 8 GB / 1 TB SSD / Keyboard with numeric keypad

Ok, I'm hoping for that rather than 48h then ;) Doubt I'll get it tomorrow though, but it's still possible :p

Just an update here: it must be this 512GB SSD that's holding this whole thing up. I ordered my 27" 3.5 i5 512 SSD with 8GB RAM back on June 28th. IT'S STILL PROCESSING... I know it said shipping in 2-3 weeks from my order date but am surprised it's taking this long, even to process. I know it will be worth it though

The 512 Gigger strikes again...

I ordered the same on the 26th and mine is still Processing as well. When I ordered the ship time was 1-2 weeks.

Ordered my new iMac 27”, i7, 512GB SSD June 9th from my local Apple premium reseller in Sweden, still no sign of the computer. The estimated delivery date on orders placed on Apple Store the same date was June 19. Talked to the reseller, they had not received any information more than the short supply on components for the BTO models. Called Apple, the support told me that they were in fact prioritizing orders made on Apple store. I really hope this is not the case, I like my local reseller and I wish I can continue buying Apple products from them, but this is getting annoying. Is anybody else in the same situation as I am?

Mine arrived at my work yesterday after me checking the status and seeing "out for delivery" all day long..

Left at my normal time.

It arrived 1 hour after i left work.

of course!

(I have it shipped to work for ease)

Walked in this morning to see it so now i have to wait till the end of the day to take it home.

sure hope i don't cough. get sick at work. cough.

and have to go home early. cough.
