My order status was unavailable all weekend. I thought "Hey, looks like something's happening!"

As of this morning it was back to "processing".

Man, have I been spoiled by buying off the shelf! I wish my local Apple stores had i7/SSD models in stock. Oh well.

Mine just change from processing to preparing for shipment!

Mine has been saying shipping in 3-4 weeks for a week now. Estimated date unchanged. I'm still hopeful for an early delivery.

My standard delivery went from California to my house in Toronto in one day.

Where do you live, and from where is it shipping?

I l

I live in Norway. Dont show from where yet.

I live in Sweden and I didn't even get the option for anything other than standard shipping. Maybe it's the same for Norway? Standard shipping had always been quick here though. I ordered a keyboard a couple of years ago and it was shipped from the Netherlands to my door in less than 24 hours.

Only time it's been slow is when it's shipped straight from China.

I think i didnt get a choice to change, so it must be the same.

I didn’t get a choice either.

I wonder if you iMac would come from Ireland. IIRC there is an iMac assembly plant there. Or in a Western Europe somewhere around there.

Ordered the exact same on 6/26. Still says processing order.

I live in sweden and I think it´s depending on when you put your order... sometimes express orders and standard orders have the same eta day span. When that is a fact you can only choose standard.

I saw it a few times when I exprimented with my order.

Jeeeeeez... I ordered a 27"/4.2 i7/512 SSD machine on June 23rd, and was given an arrival date of July 5th-12th. As the date approached, I contacted Apple's chat several times and was told there was no issue with my order, no parts shortage, nothing. All was well.

Today, I got an email telling me it will be another month. Seeing reports of people ordering the same machine, some a week or more after I did, and receiving them, is making me rage.

Apple is telling you they are not going to deliver by the date that was in your order? If that is the case, then they need to just give us the 1 TB drive at no cost. I know I will not wait another month. I will wait until the date that was given to me when I placed the order. I will then ask for a free upgrade to the 1 TB or just cancel the order.

This is my first iMac purchase and has not gone too well. I have seen others that have ordered after me receive their iMac that has the same specs as mine. When I asked Apple about this they said it was not possible as they fill the orders as they come in. Apple also said there was no issue with my order and I would receive it by the date listed on the order. It seems this might not be the case now.

I tried this tactic and was told that "no compensation is possible, because shipping estimates are not promises," and that any change to my order (even to hardware that was in-stock) would only delay it further. My situation is further complicated by the fact that I used Apple's financing, so even if I were to cancel my order, I've still taken the credit hit (by having to open a new card with Apple's partner, Barclaycard). And the fact remains, I need a new Mac, yesterday.

It's really an unforgivable situation. I'm hoping this estimate turns out to be a wild over-estimation and that something positive happens very soon.

My order says "Delivers 11 Jul, 2017 - 18 Jul, 2017 by Standard Shipping"

To me that means the estimated date window is July 11th to the 18th, but the guaranteed date is by July 18th. No where does it says the July 18th is an estimated date.
