I ordered the same specs, but on the 12th. I don't see too many people ordering i7 with 575 GPUs.
My card was charged with a hold for the amount of the charge. But then the balance is now available. SO what I'm thinking is since I got the educational discount they hold for the headphones (when I picked up) but now is available. So when they finally ship they will charge my card for the amount.

SSD is behind in orders. It SUCKS they don't just have this in stores!
Still no update to the status of my order, despite the pending charge on my CC... hopefully not too far away.
Edit: Woot Woot, it's now preparing for shipment!

Ordered i7/575/1TB SSD on July 7th. Delivered on July 20th. Lucky to bypass 512G option.

I guess changed is not quite right. My original was already shipped so I arranged a return on that and made a new order for one today.

Also, small friendly request to everyone postning status updates, can you please also post order date and config (storage option in particular) in the same post? It would make it a lot easier to keep track of things without having to go back and check every time

Hope of receiving it this Wed is getting dimmer for my case. I hope it will not be delayed till next week.
After I ordered on June 25, I was notified it was due 7/17. After a week they changed it to Aug. 3-9. The next day, I went to my order on Apple and they had 7/19. It was delivered at my Apple Store on 7/18. I now think store delivery is the cat's meow!! You do not need an appointment. They will help you with setup. They even whipped my Air clean as a brand new one so I could resell it. I really like my iMac 21.5". I picked the best configuration and added a 512 GB SSD and bumped the Ram to 16GB.
*Update* Cancelled the order a couple days ago. I don't want a $3900 charge sitting on my credit card. I'm doing a reassessment if I will truly stick it out with my base i5 fusion 2014 iMac as I would like to get into VR at some point.
Ordered 27" i7, 580GPU, 512 SSD on 6/23 from B&H. Called them today and expect shipping date of 7/28. Customer service said it was a "90% + probability" that it will ship at the end of the week. We'll see.
Just called Apple. No chance of it arriving this week (My estimated delivery date is 26/07 - 02/08 for i5 575, 512SSD). Likely to be on the very last day of the estimated delivery date which is 02/08.
I have pretty much the exact same dates, 7/27 to 8/3. Guess that means I can give up hope of it arriving this week.

I am not sure if it is the same for your case but the Apple staff I spoke to told me that packing for delivery is only done over this weekend thus update of status will only be available by then.
Yeah, I was really hoping to see it change from Order in Progress to Preparing for Shipment over the weekend. Alas, nothing so it looks like the earliest would be mid next week since it's being sent via standard shipping.
Got my shipping notice this morning at 1am... though the estimate is now 31st July for delivery :\ (getting shipped by DHL, mine is coming from Shanghai)
My order (i7, 580, 1TB SSD) shipped today -- I ordered last week (the 19th). UPS says it'll be here on Wednesday, though obviously I'd love to have it tomorrow. The big unknown is when my RAM will arrive. I hope it arrives the same day as the Mac but it could be a day later.
I ordered mine from an employee discount portal (I work for a large corporation), and for the 512GB configuration (if ordered today), its showing end of next week for delivery estimate, as opposed to end of this week for the 1TB.
Based on anecdotal evidence, it does appear the 512 SSD is the supply-constrained part.

Yeah, I ordered mine on the 20th (same build except i5 instead of i7) and mine is being delivered on Wednesday the 26th. I had UPS hold it at the warehouse so I can pick it up when they open, as UPS takes all day to get to my place. My shipping started at Sunnyvale, CA.
