Just out of the interest, how is the app code realized to understand that 10.10 is "greater" than 10.9? Is the OS version converted to 2 integers with the dot (char) seperating them and then only the second integer gets checked? Cause mathematically, (double) 10.10 = 10.1 obviously.

In Safari, when you click in the addressbar, you'll get an overview of your recent pages, and your favorites. I used to have the favorites toolbar visible, and on it I have several folders, and some bookmarks. Now when I click in the URL area, it'll show the bookmarks, but not the folders...

Anyone else notice this? it makes it pretty unusable for me :) and I still 'have to' enable the bookmark toolbar...

Yes I noticed this right away. I am not a fan of the feature so I put the bookmarks into folders. A thin bar is still displayed but it doesnt bother me like it did when showing the bookmarks.

Lion was never *marketed* as 10.7, just as Yosemite isn't *marketed* as 10.10.

However the topic we are discussing has as a title "OS X Yosemite (10.10)" and I am sure in the properties of the upcoming OS X you will see version 10.10.1 and not just 10.1 or Yosemite.

The Photo Booth has only a question mark, should I remove It and how ?

Is there any chance to see someday the OS X version 11.01.01 or whatever else short name? If not, why the hell do they need this "10"???? Is it so difficult to understand my point???

Apple says to hell with proper numbering. Just like how the iPhone 4 was actually the 5th iPhone to be released...and the iPhone 6 this fall will really be the 9th iPhone :D

I just noticed a new thing, the calculator icon shows an iPhone styled calculator (orange grey) But when you open the app its almost identical to the old calculator app.

In the coretypes.bundle the FinderIcon.icns and many other system icons are still the old ones.

I also noticed another thing in the "Go" finder menu the "home" "library" etc. is not colored anymore but grey like the finder window sidebar.

It's a first Developer Preview after all, these things are to be expected.

The iPhone 4 actually was the 4th iPhone model Apple released. iPhone 5 was the 6th. The new model to be released this fall will be the 8th iPhone (if we do not take the 5C into account).

Airdrop Between iPhone 5s and Mac

I haven't seen anyone mentioned getting this to work so I thought I'd pass my success story along.

All I had to do was open an Airdrop finder window on my Mac and select "Airdrop:Everyone" from the drop down at the bottom of the window. My phone popped up immediately. And vise versa, my Mac now shows as AirDroppable on my iPhone.

You can now directly record your iOS 8 device using a lightning cable via QuickTime, and record its audio as well.

Is there an easy way to delete other wifi names besides your own network?

Those are networks broadcasting in the vicinity that were picked up by your computer. They aren't saved on your computer therefor you can't delete them. But I'm assuming you knew that so I'm not sure what you're saying...

What I was trying to say in my op is: How can I "edit" my AE router settings of not seeing the broadcasts of the other networks ?

In full screen mode, when you bring up the menubar, the traffic light buttons appear, and you can close the window or exit full screen mode.

I would wish for a normal maximize windows like in linux or windows. Sometimes (for me is almost every time) it's good to see the menubar with all the info.

Screenshots? Maybe this requires BT 4? I don't see any option on my iMac (w/o BT4) that allows me to change anything...
