Screenshot?

I posted it a couple of posts back. It's the same as DP1 and does not yet represent the black UI appearance you are looking for - it's just a buggy mess. It's more like a placeholder really as I don't believe they didn't make any progress on this front. They will likely to bring it in public beta 1.

Nope, the new terminal command which hamza sood discovered enables the real dark mode.

Has the photo booth icon/fullscreen mode been redesigned? If so, could someone post a screenshot of the two?

Full screen mode is the same as windowed mode, although it has really ugly black sidebars which are likely a bug. The icon has been posted already somewhere in this thread.

lol, these black sidebars are here for a reason. The front camera has fixed aspect ratio. Or do you expect them to just crop the image and reduce the resolution? Wouldn't make much sense, would it?

New animation when you click on the plus button to add new widgets to the Notification Center.

My horrible attempt at a gif (btw GifRocket.app is awesome!):

I know that they're there for a reason, but I would think that apple would make them look GOOD, like by making them look like a blurred overlay like the rest of the OS.

Obsidian black menu bar mod's Whiteuiserver.menu file can turn date and time white if using the dark mode !

here is some shots of dark mode using the terminal hack. Pretty much what you see here (except notification center) is what's themed; meaning no right click black menus, title bar in apps etc, although i might have missed a few UI elements that were touched up.

Here's dark mode interacting with different colored wallpapers.

The Application folder in the dock is black in dark mode instead of white now too.

Launchpad folders are still white.

Can you put third party widgets in there, or is it limited to Apple's widgets?

You can put third party widgets in there but there are currently no third party widget that supports the notification center in the App Store (I expect there will be once Yosemite is released to the Public).

Here is the application folder i missed earlier:

And here is "Dark Mode" with a completely black wallpaper:

Looks like the right click menus change to a darker tone with a completely black desktop:

And white:

And here is a white background for contrasting the two:

The Safari in DP2 is soooooo smooth... Can't stop scrolling lol :D

It's a heaven for us with trackpads.

I understand the urge to use the new UI (which looks great on Retina but not on non Retina Macs), but I believe we should be patient.

10.9 looks no better on non-retina screens. Actually I kind of think 10.10 looks better, especially the dock icons. They don't look as jaggy, especially safari. The old one looked really low res even though it's not.

A couple small bugs are fixed.

-My wifi no longer needs to be reconnected after sleeping.
-Application dock folder no longer has a slight hitch in the transparency animation.
-Notification center is more responsive. Before if could take like 20 seconds to appear from pressing the buttons before it would warm up and start being responsive.

The scrolling on the app dock folder is still buggy with a trackpad. When you're searching for a file to open in an app the scrolling in finder is glitchy with folders.
