two things-

first hand off and continuity- phone calls. i have a 2011 macbook pro, so will I not be able to even make use of these features due to the stupid bluetooth requirement? So I have yosemite now, ill have iPhone 6 later but with not having retina 2012 mbp, users are out of luck? or is there another option; i.e. a bluetooth dongle. Perhaps Apple will change the specs for release/ Seems very crappy that users of a pricey mbp from just a few years ago are left out.

Also, Safari in beta 2 seems very buggy, pages don't load, or load half way. you have to force reload them.

Maps does not load sometimes, you can open the app and leave it open for 15 minutes but no data appears, just a blank grid.

The poof animation if you remove a icon from the Dock is gone. :(

We have this instead:

Good riddance. That little poof was a cartoonish eyesore.

Less distractions for pro users who develop content. Most pro apps already use a dark color scheme (logic, final cut, etc.)

Whenever I think of dark mode I picture it being something to make things easier on the eyes, which leads me to think of f.lux

How can I revert the dark mode?

I got it: "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences AppleInterfaceTheme light".

Does the colours panel have a built-in hex option now (the tab on the right)?

Good question. I could only get the Hex values when using Pixelmator.

I'm not sure if this is different from mavericks (or if this is even what you are thinking of), but if you click on the second tab, and then switch to RGB sliders, you can input hex values.

I've gotta admit that dark interfaces aren't always easier on the eyes. Just try to use Pixelmator for more than 15 minutes and tell me about it. While on the other hand, Final Cut pro X, Logic Pro X and Aperture really nailed it.

Good GOD ! This is a long awaited feature request by anybody who does Web Development. Finally...

This color pane is still ugly looking, but it is functional as hell. Sometimes I believe it should be nothing more than a popover.

The command is correct, EXCEPT at the end. It should say "Lig" instead of "light".

Maybe only if it was an option, so it can be a popover depending on an app's needs. In many cases, it is good to be able to move the window so it isn't on top of your work when you are doing real time editing.

Folders within folders in iCloud!

I didn't see this one posted…
Beta 2 finally makes iCloud usable!! You can now create folders within folders in iCloud.
This applies both to iCloud Drive and the individual app containers.

I am quite positive this was not in the first beta.

I have a question... I have a MacBook Pro early 2011 so obviously I don't have Bluetooth LE. Does this mean only handoff won't work but also the SMS texting and phone call features as well?

Yeah I didn't see that either. I'm gonna have to check that out. Thanks for the heads up. I just wish the cloud storage rates / data size were available.

Not sure if this is new with Yosemite DP2 but I just noticed it working for first time. In ibooks you can edit the metadata of your files, finally, if you select the list view.
